I just put together a quick map idea I had. It's poorly done, I'm not a skilled artist, but it accomplishes what I wanted, I think.

The idea is to have a vertical map where one base is much higher than the other, and to balance that advantage with more powerups and bombs for the lower base.

I have a feeling this will be imbalanced and will need adjusting, so if you have an opinion about that, post here so I can update the map. Mostly I'll adjust it based on my judgment from playing it.

The idea for the map sounds like it could be interesting. Some issues with the current map though:

1. it's way too big, spending a minute just flying to find someone to shoot at is boring. IMO the funnest part of altitude is the dog-fighting so I find large maps boring.
2. terrain that looks like its' collide-able should be collide-able and stuff that doesn't look like it shouldn't be(in particular if you are re-using textures from city, then the stuff from city that is background should probably still be background)
3. mostly vertical maps in general seem like they are hard to do, because someone will always be spending a lot of time climbing, or all the action will happen at the bottom. That said, feudalism(a king of the hill type map from the ugly beta) was kinda cool.
