I think that its laser has too much range and power when combined with the 180 swap. Perhaps a shorter beam and slightly less DPS.
Either that, or dont make it go through multiple planes.
I like how the Biplane has a piercing round, but its one round, one set damage application to the target. Lets make it so that the biplane has the piercing ability and no one else.
Last time i checked, the Biplanes were the main offense of Altitude. The Miranda was the trickster. They seem to have switched roles.
Its actually challenging for the biplane to pull off a multi-hit with its cannon. Its too easy with a Miranda. Miranda's have a beam to play with, and its a bit cheap.

agree with u here techno, i think many people feel this way. your not the first to bring it up. the lazer is indeed complained about in every match played. (sometimes the smart bombs too) idk what lams is doing on this subject but it should be a high priority.

i completely agree most servers i go to are full of people with mirandas with lasers and EVERYONE gets owned by them. Either remove laser and change or lower it's power A LOT. Also the 180 turn aorund now does damage WTF and same with boost

I think the problem is, there's no real energy management with Miranda. You're basically free to charge/reverse as much as you want. Only other plane that can boast that is the Remote Mine explodet... :|
I think the best way to balance it at this point is to put energy management back in the equation. Random ideas how:
1- No 0 energy reverse. Yes, it's going to suck reversing into a wall when you thought you had enough energy... oh well. I'm pretty sure I complained about this in the past too. If I did, I was very wrong -_-
2- Laser charging takes more energy and slows dramatically when at 0 energy. Right now, there doesn't seem to be any penalty to charging speed when at low/0 energy.
3- Laser discharging halts/burns blue bar. Right now, you charge is almost filled by the time the laser finishes firing... not that it matters since everything is basically "free" :|
4- Holding laser charge eats energy. Right now, it leaves you at like 80% (again, it barely matters -_-).
#1 alone might be enough. If people could reasonably CATCH a miranda, that could be solution enough to the problem. You still get the pop in/out tactic, but pursuers have a chance in hell of killing you without getting reversed on constantly. It also gives loopies a much needed boost (well EMP ones anyway).
I'm also more a fan of 2 than 3 or 4, but like I said, it could be overkill at that point.

The Miranda's laser is overkill i mean i swear i was killed right when one hit me :mad: and that guy got a huge multikill i think up to 5; it should be removed replace it with something else PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I'd like to stay away from solution #1 since imo it would make the Miranda less fun to play. I think there are other ways to nerf it that wouldn't mess with the feel as much.

My suggestions are:
1. No-pierce lasers or reduced damage pierce.
2. Big penalty for Miranda running out of energy (self-EMP or something.)

I think the problem with miranda is not that its overpowered in general, but that AoE attacks scale differently with the number of players in a server. AoE attacks tend to deal more damage the greater the density of enemy planes, miranda has the most powerful AoE attack and so benefits the most in super crowded games.

This is very simple to fix. Just have the damage decrease over distance, so the end of the laser deals 1/3 damage relative to the start.

I dont think it should peirce at all. Let it just hit one plane and stop. If he dies, it can shoot out and hit the next one, but only then.
I do like how blank has brought energy use to my attention. Yeah, a laser should use at least half the bar and not regenerate any when holding a charge, leaving it with one, and only one, reverse warp.
Perhaps a perk to let it regen a little, but other than that, no.

I suggest increasing the amount of time it takes to fully charge a shot for both the laser and bouncy shot.

I think every plane has there Plus's, the explodet lays out mines and is cheap as hell, why change the miranda?

Explodet is the most interesting plane in the game. Also, signatures = disabled.
