Better support for gamepads?

Gamepad functionality technically works fine, but since a joystick is an analog controller, I don't see any reason to limit it's functionality to the arrow-key model. What I'd love to see is for the thumbstick to control turning the same way a mouse does, so that it can feel more natural and accurate.

There is a program for PC called JoytoKey, you can make the gamepad control the mouse. That should work, but it can be a little tedious to set up. It alows you to play pretty much any game with a controller, if you set it up right.
