So this has been a problem for me that I think may be worthy of a fix.

I play with an Xbox 360 controller, which works fine. However, if the breaker thing on the controller disconnects during a game, or while Altitude is running at all, I'm required to close Altitude and reconnect it and then launch Alti again in order to get it working again.

If I connect the controller right away while the game is running, Alti wont detect it.

I have had to restart Alti during a few scrims and ladder games because of this, and given that the fix is simple enough, it would be a huge benefit for me and perhaps others who play the same way.

Thoughts/comments appreciated.

Do you use a wireless xbox controller when doing this? If so do you use anything else to connect it to the pc or does it just automatically detect it?

PS: I am just wondering so I know how to get mine to work. I dont know what could be wrong with the connection for your connection.

No, it's a wired Xbox Controller. I'm talking about that little security thing they put on the Xbox Controllers 6 inches from the USB end, that is supposed to disconnect if you get too far so you don't break stuff. It comes out accidentally sometimes.

As stated before it is a limitation of the library we use (jinput (https://jinput.dev.java.net/)).

We would love to get a fix out but it is unlikely at this time.

If u arent afraid of breaking something because u move to much away, why don't you just tape it? :)
