Hi all,


a suggestion for a game mode: for the duration of a match, each player could only use each plane once.

ie: Player is shot down as a biplane, will only be able to spawn as loopy, miranda, etc. until he has no planes left and sits out the rest of the match.

Cheaters would need to be stopped from leaving and joining the same match again.

I like this, it really encourages all-around plane proficiency. As a result, I would suck at this, LOL.

in my opinion, it would be better if it was set up like gungame mod in counterstrike, cod4, etc. In gungame, you start with the "worst" weapons and work your way up, having to get a kill with every single weapon (aka: red perk). Furthermore, for the bomber perks, you should have to finish the kill with the secondary weapon (flak, supp, dumb bombs) for the added roflz.

One problem. What about people who aren't leveled up enough to have all 5 planes? Or who have recently aced? Sounds like a good idea, though.

The easy solution is to stop those players from joing the match (spectate only);

The complicated solution would be to assign players to teams giving priority to those who have all the planes, leaving newbies and recent aces for last. Those last-choice players would join with the planes they have and then die permanently or get replaced by bots when they lose their planes.

This would result in a lot of moaning and some cruel tactics but would IMHO be better than the current ladder set up, where you spend more time in the lobby than in the game.

Part of the reason why I thought of the 5BD/5DM was to add a bit of tactical play. Instead of being "upgraded" from Loopy to Bomber the moment I get a kill, I would like to see teams planning who does what at what stage of the match.

Your idea is so different that probably should get its own thread for you to explain it in more detail.

And I don't get why not having a perk unlocked would bar you from playing. In Black Ops' Gun Game people who haven't unlocked the crossbow still have to kill someone with it.
