An easier way is to use the person's Vapor ID. Go to AltBouncer (http://tec27.com/altbouncer/), type in the nickname, and copy the Vapor ID. Then paste the Vapor ID into the add friend field in Altitude.

Hey Blue, thanks, to be honest, I made the current pic in a hurry just put together some stuff in photoshop. Looking forward for your pic.

In fact I'm thinking about using Thorn's pic as our clan pic, it looks great, but I'd like a little more "Altitude" like elements in it (like maybe plane perhaps) and also some electricity in the background. I'll try to do these modifications and see where it goes.

my first thought when i saw you say you wanted lightning was this, which isnt lightning, but more of a cool electricity effect. I had to sharpen te mirandas because otherwise it would fuzzy, so i didnt want you too make that crappy. So anyway, the font i used was i believe the same one thats in altitude, but im not sure. any questions, just PM or post :)

Yes 10 AM GMT it is. From what I talk to the others they said saturday around that time is fine. So I don't think it's a problem.

If anyone who have already confirmed can't make it post here, otherwise we'll assume you'll all make it.

PS. I hope my ping is playable, I've asked Brut to increase ping limit on that server but if it's too bad, I'll spec.

I thought having the logo and the type together was perhaps a bit cluttered so I did another with just the type. Its probably a bit clearer that way, but I'll let you decide.

to me the team needs to round itself out, as we all start to fill the roles and get comfortable with each other i believe this will happen. we have some good players and as we all start to get used to each others positioning and preferences i think it could go very well.

Yes this will be a good help initially but I hope we will all develop our game to flow naturally after a while, without having to prompt for passes :) But mumble certainly will be of good help

Also I hope mumble doesn't have much effect on our pings while playing.

We played a round or two with AIR (mixed with a couple of AA folks) and sub'd in Valkyr!e for us. We one first round Core and lost the labrynith. Then people started leaving and stuff...

After we got numerous complaints in our practice match that "you guys need a lobby", we will soon be getting a lobby for our private server.

I've already gone ahead and made it (image provided by Thorn). It took a fewhours to figure out the Map Editor (especially the layers and how to make collidable objects) but I really like the end result.

I even figured out how to make a bouncy trampoline like AIR's private server but I thought let's not be copy cats :D It involves adjusting the Damage modifier property and such. Anyyyway,..

I will try to get our lobby installed in the private server soon.

Frodo, the flame skin looks cool on some planes (bomber, whale) but it looks goddamn awful on Randa (imho) so I am now torn between a comical santa hat randa and a checkers randa. Still yet to buy the skin...

Scrim Results LF vs FC 0-2:

Darkwar: 0 - 6
Asteroids: 5 - 6

Aspharanx (after we were leading 4-1 on asteroids) and Silverwing (from the beginning) timed out every couple of seconds and had pings of 330 and 600 respectively.

We will try to somehow get better pings in the future.

Some notes on where we can improve (guys who played feel free to post your thoughts on this too):

1. Clearing near our goal: We're pretty bad at this and need to improve on this. This is not that difficult at all...

2. More support during offence: I was mostly alone with nobody to pass to when I advanced, but this is mostly because SilverWing had bad ping I think. Of course, Kloekie was great when we two were on offense.

3. More kills. Yeah I know it's ball and ratios don't matter much, but still most of us need to get kills.


Among the positives:

1. Kloekie played really well and had some truly good routes and ideas (even on 3rd match Core).

2. Asp did the bulk of the kills as an offensive loopy. While this is good, the rest of us need to chip in too.


Feel free to post about what went wrong and where we must improve.

BTW all of us who don't have mumble, please try get mumble for in-game communication. It helps.

Unfortunately my availability seems to be fluxuating quite a lot lately but generally weekday evenings 6-7pm onwards are usually fine (except tuesdays when I'm never free). Some weekends I go down to London but mostly I'm about a fair bit for weekend scrimming.

Most of the time 8 pm GMT+1 (7 pm GMT) isn't gonna be a problem. But Thursdays is a no go for me. Every Thursday (unless its an official holiday) it is pratice at the fire station so if you guys pick Thursday, I'm never gonna be there.

The weekend would also fit me, like saterday 7 or 8 pm GMT+1 (6 or 7 pm GMT).

Guys we got JulePalme to graciously host us a paid server in Germany (yay on choosing the best location on the planet!!).

So all of you guys give him a big thanks and he's even nice enough (actually I bet Ducky bugged him to) to make all you guys as admins on the server too.

well guys we had a big weekend just now, lots of games together and we got some decent scrims in and now we need to consider what we have learnt and figure out our direction moving forward. WOF gave us a bit of a lesson in team ball but I really think we saw some positives in our play.

I know Tek has a lot of thoughts on this so I will leave it to him but personally I really enjoyed the weekend and know a lot more now about some of the other players on our team so thats good.

Tek - on WOF thread you said about the screens but is that not just a screen capture (print screen)? so couldnt any of us do it?

Rag, yeah it's just a screen capture, but on my Mac I always get the keys mixed up (I need to hold Function+ something + TAB and usually I press the wrong one). Also Alti has an inbuilt screen capture key, but the screenshots end up deep down in some folder (which I always forget too on my Mac).

Yes Rag, I'd like it if we always had someone taking screenshots of the scores on important scrims (not randoms but when we play a real team). I would LOVE to have had the screenshots for the ///tv0 games for instance.

I really like that we are scrimming often and we play as a teams than just playing on pubs or captains games. The reason for all of us being in a clan is to play as a team, so apart from the annoying part of having to wait and randoms disconnecting mid-game (happens even on ladder). I think it's worth it.

Check under the Altitude's Keyboard settings for the key for "screenshots". You'll need to press TAB plus that key for getting the scoreboard.

Then it's a matter of finding out where the screenshot is saved in your disk. If done this way, it should always be saved under the Altitude game folder somewhere. Not sure where this would be on Windows.

What albums do you mean? There might be some apps you can use to upload directly to Flickr, Photobucket, ImageShack or Sketch for instance. Is that what you mean?

Yes he's really good from whatever little I've seen of him (only seen biplane). But I'm afraid he'd probably get frustrated playing with us. Plus we got 2 full time biplaners :) Dunno if he'd like to join us a full-time Bomber think he prefers biplane.

Because on stupid mac, F3 doubles as a key for "Spaces" or somesuch. I prefer to use them because I frequently adjust brightness, music volume, control iTunes from it etc. So I use Fn key + F1..F12 for actually F1 to F12 and without Fn key it's those special keys I mentioned.
