I'm slowly getting a website sorted for WABL at the moment. This will list down contacts and referees for each team. I will put a link to it, once its looking a bit more respectable, but for the moment, I just want to mention a few things:

Spare weekend: May 14th-15th
The international fixtures are no longer happening, so if teams are struggling to make their opening fixture for this week, there is a clear opportunity for teams to be able to move their opening fixture (scheduled for this coming weekend) to the spare weekend. Please speak with your opposing team captain/contact and PM me first should you wish to rearrange a fixture!

*IMPORTANT*
Group Fixtures rule change
Because the standard home fixture gives a little bit too much of an advantage and 2 teams out of 4 in a group would have an advantage of 2 home matches, I am altering the rules for the group phase only. Now, the home team chooses the server to play on and the away team chooses the first map. (pretty much as elixir mentioned earlier in the thread!). This should hopefully give a bit more balance during the group phase.

The QF playoffs
The top teams in each group and the best ranked team in 2nd spot will gain home advantage in the QF playoffs. The home team in the playoffs chooses both the server and the first map. The remaining teams finishing runner-up in their groups and the 2 best ranked teams finishing third place in their group will be the away team. The draws will be placed based purely on ranking. Should any team be even on points, then matches won, then games won, then goal difference, then goal scored. Their ranking determination will be decided at random (UNLESS - this is for qualification purposes - in which case there will be a separate playoff match). The QF match playoffs will be Bo3 and the semis also. The Final will be Bo5.

Dougie, I too told the guys on LF vs AH that it's over after the two games because in the rules it says: "All group matches are best of 3 games." in the League Format section. Best of 3 meaning it's over whenever a team has 2 points.
So please correct that if it was not your intention.

Dougie, I too told the guys on LF vs AH that it's over after the two games because in the rules it says: "All group matches are best of 3 games." in the League Format section. Best of 3 meaning it's over whenever a team has 2 points.
So please correct that if it was not your intention.

The map of that 3rd game with LF was on Darkwar.

In all fairness though, that 3rd game was played as a fun scrim. LF was unaware that they could've earned another point, so we'd be willing to play another match if they'd like.

Apologies to the teams involved in this, I unfortunately missed these posts. I have counted the third game of the AH v LF match as 6-3. If either team would like to contest the result, then we can arrange for a rescheduled one off game (it will need to be done this coming week though!). If not we will keep the current score as it stands.

With regards to the two postponed matches.

Eight Ball v All stars.
All stars forfeit, they didn't have enough players. No advance warning was given regarding APL either.

Wings of Fury v Ball
This is more complicated, as I have made a mistake in presuming the match could be rearranged. The match was not postponed by {ball} until after the 24 hour deadline, so technically the forfeit should be awarded to WoF for not showing enough players. However, due to the circumstance with the APL fixtures moving back, (highlighted by Ball'n before the 24 hours notice (http://altitudegame.com/forums/showpost.php?p=122617&postcount=118)). I responded by giving the advice, that the match could be rearranged (http://altitudegame.com/forums/showpost.php?p=122621&postcount=79). The match was eventually postponed by ball'n late, here (http://altitudegame.com/forums/showpost.php?p=122737&postcount=124).

Based on the rules:

"Once a match has been scheduled, it can be postponed by either team up until 24 hours before and can be set for a reschedule. Within the 24 hour period, both teams must agree to a reschedule, or a forfeit can be claimed by the opposing team. A forfeit will result in 11 points awarded for a win and an automated penalty for the loss. Games and goals will not be added for a forfeit."

The forfeit has been offered to WoF. But as this is mainly due to my error in not officially postponing the match when given the opportunity, I have asked WoF to consider replaying next weekend, before their scheduled match with All Stars. The WoF team will put a vote to decide whether they will accept a replay.

Our problem is that we don't get any answer from FT but we were going to ask them about a weekday this week. That obviously didn't work out, so we are trying this odd way of scheduling, so we can actually show up.

Well, we've now completed the group stages. A big thanks to all the teams for their efforts in completing the matches. We have unfortunately lost 4 teams at this stage, LF, FT, WoF and -={8}=-. Commiserations but thanks to all of you for your involvement and contributing to the competition with some good games! As to the rest of the teams, the Quarter finals and semi final draws have been made, and its thrown together some big clashes. Best of luck! QF fixtures can be rescheduled earlier if preferred. I would be surprised if the matches last more than an hour, and I would be happy if both teams want to move straight onto playing the SFs after the QFs. But as I said, there may not be a referee available for the start of the match.

Well I only did a team of the season last time because we had most of the matches recorded! This time its a little more difficult, as I haven't been able to see all the matches.

Here's my suggestion then, each clan captain can submit their team of the league BUT it cannot include any players from their clan. I'll put in the most nominated players into the team of the tournament based on 3 heavies and 3 lights. Team should be submitted in format of 6 + 1 sub/honourable mention:
