Hey!
Today I've become a proud owner of my copy of the Altitude game. I've became addicted after few minutes of playing it via Steam (free weekend deal thingy) and decided to buy the full game. I bought the game via official site (not via Steam). Now I'm wondering if there is any way to gain my progress from Steam (few achievements and 20 levels) to my new account? I tought that the code will allow me to activate product on steam (like other games I bought so far), but it doesn't. So is there way to combine or retrieve my previous account information and use it with my new Altitude account? Regards, DaPhenomena |

Hi DaPhenomena! Thanks for supporting Altitude. I think the problem is related to a bug, Lamster and Karl will look into it as soon as they get a chance. They are currently demoing the game in Seattle for the PAX, so I'm covering until they get a spare second.

So this means that by default my key should work with Steam and some kind of bug is preventing it to work with it?
Or am I misinterpreting something? |

Does this answer your question:
"Existing Altitude Full version users will not be able to unlock Steam achievements because the Steam client software doesn't have you registered as owning the game. However, we plan on keeping Altitude Challenges and Steam Achievements as 1:1. I.E. For every Steam Achievement there will be an Altitude Challenge and vice versa. For those not in the know challenges are located under the Main Menu->Stats" This was posted by one of the developers awhile back. |

I'm asking if there is way to import my Steam account progress to my new Altitude account, but this does answer part of the question.

hmmm. Not sure, but I think I've seen this question here or in the steam forum. I'll look around. In the meantime, does anyone else know? Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Steam and non-steam versions are separate, but the devs can probably migrate your account for you once they return. You may be able to pass level 20 by then though. Welcome, at the very least!
