Are you sure you should get 4? Because I just looked through all the recently uploaded files, and the only Harmonica I can find is in a file uploaded at 10PM EST yesterday, and it was for '{ball*} Harmonica'.

Have you noticed that people in your in-game friend list are not uploaded? I'd say someone else just has uploaded the names later on and that's why you see them later.

I think also that your "played with" list doesn't get updated until you quit altitude. So if you see someone in game and then you upload your file before quitting altitude, they won't get uploaded. You're probably seeing the results of someone uploading their file a day or two later.

The played with list is used so that you can add friends from a list in game of people you have recently played with. Therefore anyone you are friends with will not show up on that list. Most likely you are friends with harmonica and therefore any time you update your played with list it won't update any of his information.

No, I'm quitting Altitude and then uploading my list. But maybe my list isn't getting added to the database? I'm gonna upload now (again).

Okay, I did so and here's the results: (I did search on Harmonica and found two vapor IDs, but there are six players with the name Harmonica on right now)

Ah, well that's a shame. Obviously, if I am friends with the person you'd assume I don't need to use AltBouncer, but that's not always the case. =P

I only see 1 Harmonica in that list, and its in the DB now, so it would seem the rest are not in your recently played list.

Yeah, eventually I'd like to make it parse server logs or JSON input as well, but haven't gotten around to doing much development on it lately to make that happen.

It's a minor issue. The system is very useful... I appreciate your attention to this, but I can live with current friends not updating. I'll just de-friend everyone (jk).

Thx

Just updated AltBouncer with a few new features.

First of all, the bug with html characters in names has been fixed. The bug with resizing in firefox causing overlaps has also been solved.

Secondly, and more excitingly, sorting by any of the 3 major columns has been added, simply click either the up or down arrow on the column to sort by it ascending or descending, respectively.

Back and forward buttons should work for most browsers now, so you no longer lose your previous searches when you start a new one (although the forward button does not seem to be working for me in opera, I'll try to figure that out later).

Lastly, you can now link to specific searches by simply copying the address from the address bar, for instance: http://tec27.com/altbouncer/#5|tec270|10

Hope you guys enjoy the updates, there's almost a years worth of player data in the DB now! I hope to add server log parsing in the near future, and maybe some stuff with time filtering as well. Let me know if there's any other features you'd like to see, or if you find any bugs that need fixing!

Edit: forward button works in Opera now.

The formatting of the page seems to have recently gotten really strange... I'd wager to bet it has something to do with the player that the database describes as "YourMomsBFF'; nickDoneTyping($('nickinput').value); clearVapID(); return false"> [BT]( ")>YourMomsBFF"

If you have the time to fix it that would be great!

From all of this I can tell Tec27 belongs to a radical right wing society dubbed "The Farmers" known for their highly opinionated view on the freedom of the market. By using propaganda put into code Tec27 is recruiting a team of super hackers to topple the free market and make farmers the rulers of the known world.

I praise your work tec, but some bonehead changed the name on my VAPOR ID, using their Played with list.

http://tec27.com/altbouncer/#0|36|ba...0ccfaefb753e10

The list claims I'm "wood"

But all of my friends can prove thats wrong. I have never named myself wood.

PS: Whoever did that, you are a loser. I gave the hack away.

lol genius

In all seriousness, though, if people start editing their "played with" files, then AltBouncer (and all of tec's hard work) would become obsolete, so don't do it -.-

I added a new request script for NobodyHome to use with ladder stuff, but just in case anyone else finds it useful, you can now request searches for exact nicknames/vaporID's and get results in plaintext, separated by newlines.

Sample requests:

Nick only:
Code:
http://tec27.com/altbouncer/bounce.php?nick=[AF]tec27
Vapor ID only:
Code:
http://tec27.com/altbouncer/bounce.php?vapor=1d6c0373-c83a-4a2b-9da0-55a096172922
Nick and Vapor ID:
Code:
http://tec27.com/altbouncer/bounce.php?vapor=1d6c0373-c83a-4a2b-9da0-55a096172922&nick=[AF]tec27

Results are strings formatted like:
Code:
Nickname
VaporID
Last Seen Date
And the file always ends with a newline.

I also put up a submissions script for Nobo to submit from ladder server records. Once he gets that setup, I may remove the Played With list submissions, since they would be sorta redundant and far less accurate/secure than submitting from ladder servers.

Default AltBouncer

I had absolutely no idea where to put this thread, so sorry if I chose the wrong folder. I've noticed that when I've uploaded my played with lists onto AltBouncer, it only records into the website the names of people who I've seen who aren't my friends. But it doesn't record people who I've seen that are my friends. It would be nice if it recorded my friends because then I could check who a friend was with a name change. Has anybody else noticed this?

This question should've probably gone into the Altbouncer thread (which is right there in this forum stickied at the top).

But yes, that's the way AltBouncer works. The reason why this is is because Altitude itself doesn't save the IDs of your friends into that file, so there is no way to get them.

Altbouncer sounds like a great tool. I think it would be useful if they could integrate this with the server configuator, so that everyone who logs into the server automatically has their name and id sent to altbouncer. Just my idea

assuming your vapor id is 7e2321dd-f10a-4b7e-9106-f78c373b6a79, it really isn't that hard to figure out. someone else (trix) has the vapor id 45eabc64-4e54-4bdc-b964-5b56243a020e and changed their name to METAMETAMETAMETA. after a little while they changed their name to tori-era. if the second vapor id is yours though, which i'm very highly doubting, then i don't know nor do i care.

This is what people do when they get bored with the game, then it's a whole new game - 'guess who'. Think that names taken though =S

Edit: I'll give $100 / £65 / 70 euro to anyone who can tell me who kluss is.

thx

Oh wait this is actually a misunderstanding. It says METAMETAMETAMETA (instead of METAMETAMETAMETAMETA) for both tori and dyke, a name which I've never adopted.

More people think that for certain reasons but its actually false and I'd rather go by Meta.

Exactly, and Tori is like the most try hard player I've seen in ladder; you just go like ********mouselaseropgg.
