I know its newbish to join a server without perks, but the rules didnt say anything against it. Maybe we deserve a ban, but 20 years? Thats way to harsh...

While I know you did not break rules 6 or 7, those rules are there because they dont want you playing perkless. Level 13 is when you obtain at least one red, blue, and green perk.

Admins might want to explicitly write out that playing perkless is bannable.

You obviously broke rule 12 and did not care about the other players playing the game. Playing perkless is an obvious disadvantage to yourself which then becomes a disadvantage to your team. While I am not sure on the number of bans you or the other person had received previously, you obviously had read the rules from your post above, and while maybe a permaban in this case may not be necessary I think a significant time length would be warranted with the behavior shown.

This, ty. Stig and I know the rules and we just showed one was missing. And about rule 12, that's very broad the interpret. Thats just saying: if something happens the admins don't like, you also get banned. Why do you have rules then?

First statement: Rule 12 can be interpretted broadly, but honestly when you could be playing better set-ups which you both seem to acknowledge, you are in violation of rule 12 because as I am sure people told you to not play perkless inlcuding the admin who banned you. You are purposely hurting others ladder experiences

Second Statement: That is just false. Despite both teams playing with a perkless player that does not mean that the teams were not at a disadvantage. Say you as a perkless player were 1v1 with a guy with the ball. You had full health and were shooting the player coming at you, but because you did not play with a blue or green perk you either died sooner then normal or ran out of energy and were not able to finish a kill that normally under certain circumstances you would be able to. Playing without perks is a disadvantage whether or not you believe the other team having a player in a similar circumstance cancels out your teams disadvantage.

it was a joke that pretty obviously wasn't very funny to anyone but yourself. i had actually removed the permabans and flipped them to a couple weeks each, but you pm'd me after saying that you were fine with the permas since you didn't care about ladder and just wanted to ruin a game to prove a retarded point, i moved them back to permas. if you thought that rule needed to exist and were aware of the existence of this thread, the right thing to do would have been to post here letting us know. ruining a game for 10 other people for a joke only you find funny is unacceptable.

Where did I say I wanted to ruin a game? And as I told in that pm, the goal of the pm wasnt to get my ban changed but to give the advice to put an extra rule in here

you didn't say you wanted to ruin a game. your actively going into ladder, joining a game, and then ruining it with the premeditated excuse that you were trying to tell the admins that there needed to be a rule added spoke for itself. if you had simply posted in this thread or pm'd me that the rule needed to be added without ever joining ladder, neither you nor your compatriot would be permabanned. you have already admitted to not caring whether or not you're banned, so it appears that we are both satisfied with the end result and you can stop wasting everyone's time.

Obviously I'm not an admin for the server, but based on my interpretation of the rule, I would say no. The rule states "your connection is too bad to not get continuously disconnected..."

If someone has a stable ping under 300ms that isn't causing them to disconnect from the server, then I would see it as an inconvenience to the other players, but not ban-able per this rule.

Now Rule 12, "Any activity not listed above that can cause a negative experience for others while playing ladder," you could argue because this irks people from either server. But then where do you draw the line? Is 285 bad but 250 ok? What about 220? Just my thoughts...

No, as long as you aren't getting disconnected then you are fine under this rule. You may lag a little bit and it might be hard to pass to you but your state is definitely not "unplayable".

Ok thanks, that was what I figured.

I would personally argue that it is pretty close to unplayable, playing ball in US ladder with a 130ms ping is tricky at times, you miss the ball because where you see it to be isn't accurate. With a ping double that I don't see how you'd be able to rely on the ball being where you think it is. Hence unplayable. Just my view though.

So i was just in this ladder match. And we were up 1-0. We missed an obvious goal and we're in the middle of scoring. We had a free goal, no one was there and we for sure had 4 players there to score it. Keppo ([BBQ]Kuppa) then picked up the ball and ran it all the way to our goal, giving the opposing team a goal. We lost the match afterwards, i'm pretty sure we could've won the game if it wasn't for what happened here.

I'm pretty sure as well that this is ban worthy, and even though i have hard proof. there'll probably be a couple of players who can back me up because it unleashed a lot of rage.

by the way, his argument was: i'm super high.

It's set to shmoispro for ladder 3 now for some reason.
