ball_snow crashes my game

Hey.

Every time the server changes the map to ball_snow, my game freezes. It loads the map halfway and after that, just hangs. Eventually the master server will kick me out (your connection to server has been lost, please log in again)

I've tried to remove the map and redownload it from a server, verified the integrity of game cache and reinstalled the game, none of them worked. (using steam version)

I can join a server which has already loaded up the map so it must be the changing sequence that makes the game crash.
EDIT: Scratch that, I get an error saying it has problems loading resources

EDIT2: The browser version loads up the map just fine.
Slight ot: the sounds on my browser version don't work. I get the music in the main screen but any of the other sounds don't work.

Any ideas?

Try deleting the map cache folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\altitude\maps\cache

You might even need to delete the map file:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Altitude\maps\ball_snow.altx

Corrupted map file... Happened to me too... First couple of tries to find ball_tron for our server, I ended up downloading bad map files....
