So I tried downloading altitude on a school computer and running it. It caused the resolution to horribly screw up. Everything is zoomed in to massive degrees. I've tried switching resolutions through control panel etc and nothing works. If I move my mouse to the right and left i can move around the screen but it's not going back to normal even after I've closed the internet browser, restarted the computer, etc. Help? <<;
Edit: So I the IT guy managed to force switch something on the computer to change it back. Unsure why it did that though. Last edited by mikesol; 10-05-2009 at 02:25 AM. |

You've tried setting it back to the default resolution and clicking "Apply"?

Yup. I've tried that. I've tried all the resolutions possible, changing the hertz, etc. No luck

maybe the program didn't close properly, especially if you ran it in fullscreen
that will cause any modifications to the resolution to be bypassed and run the computer in the same resolution the game needs to be |

this is usually caused by old/buggy drivers as we do everything possible to return the resolution to your desktop res.
it's also possible when the game hard crashes (this is quite rare). This happens when the bug report dialog doesn't open and you have an hserr_pid file in the altitude directory. also in the case of a hard crash most modern graphics cards from ati/amd/nvidia properly restore desktop resolution Last edited by Karl; 10-05-2009 at 09:14 PM. |
