Default Bigger maps for enhanced team-play

Hello.

I would like to see lots bigger maps with lots of more plane and multiple bases. I would love to see 50 vs 50 planes on map that takes 5min to fly from side to side. Kind of large scale air battles.

Yes that would be lots of flying, but that again would make your apprise your plane more.

Kinda unpleasant to me
Having a lot of planes leads you into eternal game with long maps.
Once had a game that that, took 5-7 minutes (Depends on plane) to fly side to side and there was 13 ppl playing for each side. To finish the game, it took like 3 hours.
Got more than 150+ kills. Bad bad bad Memory :|

Agree that some enchanted team play would be great. Maybe bring in some poisoned apples and fairies and beautiful princesses and stuff. Definitely a good idea.

Default Enhanced team-play

Ok, my bad for spelling mistake, as non native speaker and firefox spelling aid mistakes happen. DiogenesDog! How clever answer! Point for you!

I might add some words about the thing i am missing -- kind of large scale bombing run for example. All would spawn at same time. Say we would have 20+ bombers and 20+ escort fighters going for bombing run against defending team of 40+ fighters. One round until all bombers from attacking team are down or bombing successful or time limit? Or something like that? No re-spawn. Kind of modified last team (man) standing. And attacking team would be changed after one round.

Or maybe little NavyField style large scale team deathmatches - large map, only one life.

What i did not think was the downside what DryBone mentioned - without some special rules i do see that the games will get really really long and that was not what i hoped for.

1. Like said, itll never end.
2. Its not fun. There will be NO skill required, press f and hope for the best.
3. Not even remotely large enough playerbase to support this. Its bad enough with the 20/20 servers.

I think giant 50v50 1-life tdb maps could really enchant team play, but only with competitive teams that have captains and squadron leaders and organization and strategy. In public games, it would only lead to frustration and boredom, either at your stupid team or while waiting to re-spawn.

But now I'm curious as to how a giant 1-life game would go that was, for example, all the fLb teams vs Ace, FN, and Lobstars.

In Altitude, the game play is geared towards being able to play on a consistent basis (as in not being dead). Any game mode that may require you to be dead (and not playing) for longer than say 30 seconds is not going to be very popular... Although it may have some niche groups such as the 1DM mode. However, no serious player is going to want to play a 50v50 matchup.

Also, I can't decide if Vi purposely also made the mistake of writing "enchanted" or not.

That kind of massive scale battles you re suggesting will not work/look good on a 2D game. It could work on a 3D game though, kinda like starwars battlefront.

To much players 50 vs 50 would be chaos. You can customize your own map on map editor and the size of the map. Multiple bases isn't a bad idea , just that how are you going to tell who won the level ?
