Points and the Scoreboard

Are you referring to ball matches? I don't like the idea of assists counting towards the score, but it has been suggested that assists be tracked and reported as stats (which I'm all for).

If it has already been decided, then sure I'm all for having them at least be tracked. That way you're teammates can see you're helping even if you're KDR isn't so hot.

Agreed - I wouldn't want it affecting the score but I do want them to show on the scoreboard (tab)

I was thinking about this before and I think that it is important to reflect someones assists and base damage in the tab screen. Maybe the tab screen should still show kills and deaths, but also show a "Score" stat which would be a combination of kills assists and base damage. Maybe just make an XP column which shows how much XP a person has gained in a match as that seems like a good way to show who is contributing aside from kills.

I like that idea a lot.

I prefer showing EXP earned for the round in the tab screen and removing MVP from the summary screen. "Most helpful" (which shows assists) would replace MVP. This creates a nice symmetry in that all the awards are for things you can't see in the tab screen.

Would most kills stay up on the screen then? Also, I do think putting exp on the scoreboard would be good though I don't see it as that superior to showing assists. I think either would be good.

Maybe just have a separate column when you press tab, that shows assists.

Ack, forgot to mention that the EXP column would replace the kills column in the tab screen. One advantage of showing EXP instead of assists is that it also reflects points earned from objectives (turrets, base damage, goals, etc.) and points earned by assisting/killing people with vet bars.

Adding any extra columns would make the tab screen too crowded and it would eat up horizontal space for some long names.

I agree with the suggestion of adding either EXP or assist.It is a great idea, then ratio whores would be seen trough. But I don't agree with the idea of replacing the kills with this, yes it would maybe get a bis crowded but could get the names and numbers a bit smaller and it would gain in space.
