Lately after playing this game for around 30 minutes it crashes my computer. The first time this happened the graphics got all wonkey first and started looking like they did way back in windows 95. Then it said my graphics card failed (that could be it) and my computer shut down. I could start it back up but it would shut down again, It wouldn't completely start back up unless I pull out the battery and wait a few minutes.
This is annoying and I think it might be damaging to my computer (I have no idea.) HELP! Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz Installed memory (RAM): 1 GB OS: Windows 7 32 bit I have an intel graphics card, I have no idea what to do. I need help! |

Either an old computer that doesn't meeet up to some of the System Requirements or Your Computer has very little space on it, and PC's (Windows) tend to act like little brats when they have very little room. So either buy a Mac (Apple) or figure out how much room you got on your computer and we will go from there.
SO post your amount of space, ram, gigs, etc. And I will help from there. |

I don't know the sys requirements for Win 7 but 1gb ram seems fairly low and since it's an intel card I'm assuming you have a laptop so it's probably shared memory.

I have 22 gb free on my laptop, it's not that old. I think it's a 2006 laptop. I guess I could shell out 40 bucks for 2 more gigs of ram but do you think my graphics card is the problem? Because the first time this happened it said graphics card stopped working then shut off.

Well if it uses shared memory and Win 7 needs 1gb so you might not have enough.

I was using an onboard 985 chipset which ran alty perfectly using Vista and 1.5gB RAM.
Might I suggest seeing if you have the latest updates for your chipset? If you have already, maybe your RAM is the problem (I would actually check that first, but that costs unfortunately). Even an extra gig wouldn't hurt, but much better value to upgrade adding another 2. However, make sure you don't buy a 2-gig stick to find out your motherboard will only support 2gB total. |

Post here which Intel graphics card you have and yes it's probably better to get ram than GPU since altitude doesnt really need a strong GPU to run

Alright, I think I may have found a solution. I don't think I had enough ram. I dedicated 4gb out of my HD to be RAM and it's been working fine now. Now all I have left to do is buy a decent laptop so I can play both this and TF2.
