Tough times for JC. Stay focused guys, try to think about what you're doing wrong during the games, what your team lacks of, and try to improve on those points. Maybe even radically change your strategy.
If you're getting pwned, there is a reason for that, and fixing it can only bring good results. Try new stuff in scrims ! They exist in that purpose.

I'll count this game as a 2-1 (its bo3 format, and if we start screwing the results by introducing bo5, it'll actually screw all the standing and everything so we'll keep it at 2-1).

They probably counted the 3rd game as 1 point to each hence 2-2 and last game 3-2

But, if we do it according to APL2 rules, our game should be counted as a tie:

Very interesting. According to APL3 registration,

'The format and rules are going to be the same as they were for the Summer League and Altitude ProLeague Season 2.'

1. - At the end of game three, when we were currently 1-1 with KLF, their base was destroyed before our base was destroyed. It was announced that I gave them base damage before they gave us base damage. With the results being a tie afterall, do we (2.) go according to the rules and accept the tie, or have the rules changed for this particular situation.

Seems like this is something you should take up with Lam and Karl rather then the admins, get them to change their conditions for a TBD tie for the game xD

Ties can happen, if a match is 1-0, and a tie happens, it becomes 2-1, and the team that was 1-0 wins, but if it was 1-1, and a tie occurs, the game is a tie.

In the registration thread, its 2-2, both teams get 2 points each

We played that game because noone really knew what should have been done in case of tie.

In fact, I voted to stop the tournament after it had started, because a few members including me weren't comfortable playing that tourney... which it failed.

The whole tie thing is int he rules n stuff and I can see how it could/should/can be declared a tie but the tie thing is just weird. I'll try and marshall my thoguhts on why in a bit.

Wat? Why is this even an issue, if you tie a map you replay the map until someone wins it.

it isnt an issue because rules state that ties count as 1-1 therefore 1-1 + 1-1 = 2-2 and rules say that 2-2 is 2 points each. you can only have a 2-2 by tying. i was just asking for confirmation

On that schedule, Ball is scheduled to play two games at the same time -- and we're "team 2" for both games:

I'll try to reschedule things with KLF and RIP's captains.

DW has a similar conflict at 3:00.
