Hi, i played a bit over the free weekend and created an account. Then my 2 hour trial ran out (i hadn't realised there was a trial and the free weekend) so i couldn't use my account, but could still play logged in as guest for the free weekend. Then i decided to buy the game.
However, when i start the game it automatically logs in as guest. When i try to log in with a different user it only gives me the option to quit or log in and i'm back to guest! I went to options/account and it said i had to create an account, but my username and password are already in use (by myself) so i can't create an account. I just want to retrieve the one i made before... |

You just need to log in with the account you used the key on. If you bought it via steam you just need to run altitude via steam.

When i go to options > account it only gives me the option to CREATE an account, along with the boxes to: - disable chat - suppress names - filter swearwords - verify content - Nimbly news I can't find anywhere that lets me stop being called guest123456789 (can't remember the exact number) or change email address. |

If you run Altitude from Steam you only have a partial Altitude account - all authentication is handled via SteamWorks.
It sounds like your config folder is in a weird state... try deleting: <steam install dir>/steamapps/common/Altitude/config After you do that and launch Altitude from Steam it should autologon to your Altitude account associated w/ your Steam account. |

Thanks Karl. I tried that, but couldn't find <steam install dir> so maybe that was the problem.
Anyway, i un-installed, then deleted the entire altitude folder from steamapps/common. Then i re-installed and it seems like it's doing what it's supposed to. It's kinda funny, i've now got 2 profiles attached to my 1 email since steam automatically uses the same address as the old one i made. But i couldn't use the same nickname as before cause it's still in use by the first profile. At least now i can use another nickname instead of guest123456... |
