Default ping limit

is too high

some people are lame enough to run with 350 ping

and i don't care what you say, it's unblockable

it sucks

lower the limit

sucks for the people with 350 ping but it sucks more for everyone who has to deal with them launching kitty pryde bombs

For people with 40 or less ping, 150 is the "unblockable point", for people with 70-100 it is usually around 200.

I agree a ping cap reduction on one of the servers is needed.

fake edit: this is obviously just for the currently capped server

peeps can still play on the uncapped one with no limit like for when those silly europeans are online

Euros are almost always 200 and are only sometimes unblockable. The asians and aussies cap in at around the low 200s which is unfortunate, but tolerable due to their rarity and they're usually good enough sports to not bomb. The people with 300+ ping are on Venus or something and have no business in ladder.

I bomb sometimes but i do my best not to make it a lag bomb =(

Also, blocking with 220 ping means getting to the block spot and hovering, if you're up against a lagger practising that could help you lotsa.

low 200s is just a matter of getting about half an inch in front of where you normally need to block

250+ is like HAHAHAHA NOP

1:44 sums it up pretty well

Yes I am sorry for lagging like **** today, and sending u into a rage. But I agree, ping cap should maybe be put down to like 250. And in a week im back in New York, so then my ping will be normal again, around 50-ish

if you are the person who members of your own team asked you to not run b/c of your 375 ping, and you said "nah i want to win lol" then i hate you.

otherwise, carry on.

I'm surprised that there isn't different coding with the bomb and ball. I'm sure it would be difficult now, but I would think that as soon as bomb gets dropped, the server would track its 'real location' and send that to players instead of just sending where the bomb probably is based on where our game client thinks the bomb should be based on where we think the lagger was when we think he dropped the bomb.

I understand that doing this method might make lag bomb drops look very bad in some cases, as bombs might start getting dropped a noticable distance away from where the lagging plane really is, but IMO would be a lot better than the current lag bombs.

On another note, we really need to reconsider the ping limit for league games. Getting 500 ping lag bombed thrice to be eliminated from apl3 sent me into a 3 month rage quit.

In an APL environment, 225 is the most ping you should EVER have. When e-peen is at stake, lag bombs just aren't acceptable.
