Does "Connection Cancelled" mean I was kicked or banned? It usually happens after I insult people for teamstacking and then switch to the losing side to beat them.

it's probably your connection, most servers have no admins so you would've atleast seen a votekick poll before.

They have a database with all your settings/info so its probably just a matter of sending something like this:
SELECT name,xp FROM players ORDER BY xp DESC LIMIT 50

Its too bad (i assume) you don't collect votekick statistics. Most kicked and most votekicks started would be interesting.

unfortunately it's not that easy, storage data is bit packed in a byte array.

seriously a couple of numbers and strings per player can't be more than a couple KB... and if selects and inserts are a real bottleneck then why use a database at all? Unpacking and repacking all the data into a blob all the time seems pretty inflexible... like if you want to add fields or make something like a online score/stats web page. Whatever though, I don't really care.. and its silly to quibble about design of code I've never even seen and am not involved in when Altitude is proof enough that you guys are at least a little bit competent

if I remember right, hartz is some old school guy who changed his name and never mentions who he is.

anyway, the important thing to know is that he's basically the only good euro player other than jeppew and he never talks so I'm pretty sure he doesn't actually have a personality and is just a robot.

This isnt true ive played with Hartz quite a bit. Hes actually quite talkative once you talked to him, specially if u steal his triple gold 5 times in one game lol.
