Default Rematch
Hi


How about if during a match we could call for a vote to organize a rematch?

the options could be:
1) same teams, same map
2) same teams, new map
3) new game

Thats a great idea. Close games can be hard to come by. Would be great to play a tied/close match again.

The only problem I can see with this is the inevitable abuse by people who want to pull an ingbo and just play ladder all day. Consequently, the vote pass threshold would have to be pretty high.

It would not even influence the ladder system unless nobo wants it to. duh?

So...what if someone leaves?
Just one person leaving could change the whole dynamic of the team.

Then the game probably wouldn't be worth a rematch and you'd press 3!

Or the person who left caused the teams to be more balanced, and would therefore want to do a rematch with the new teams.

well, the server would reassemble the teams as much as possible and then add the new players or free slots. not a big mistery how to address this objection

its a good idea in ball there is an issue where ties are possible what about overtime or win by two rule. i know these have been suggested before

Although MUCH rarer, there is a possibility of a tie in TBD, also.
If the "winning" teams base is destroyed before the results screen pops up, it will count as both bases destroyed, resulting in a tie.

And how would a tie prevent a rematch? A tie means it was a good game and yet another reason you would want a rematch.

A tie in tbd isn't MUCH rarer by the way, it's rarer in ball to be honest. But I guess that's my point of view because I never play in the SUPER DUPER FOOTBALL 9000 MAN NO PING 20 MINUTE LIMIT FOOTBALL BALL 400v400 NO PING LIMIT ALL LOOPY servers in which every goal attempt goes in because everyone lags so hard which causes the scores to stay tied most of the time.
