It's obvious why he had spaghetti in his pocket. It was also there for his small glimmer of hope. A gentleman takes the woman to dinner (edit: or breakfast... heh). A gentleman that a woman considers a catch makes her dinner.

protip: keep your spaghetti or other dinner making materials in a tightly sealed bag in a different pocket than the one you keep your condoms in.
