I think the friends list in Altitude could use a little more improvement.
Idea #1 - Past Names I was thinking it would be neat if you could hover over a players name on your friends list and see their past few names. It couldn't be hard to implement - and I think it would be alot easier to identify people. Idea #2 - Messaging This seems like it would be a really complex thing to implement, but I could be wrong - it isn't rare that I am. Idea #2 is if you could send messages to other players that aren't on your friends list. Like, Press Tab and Right-Click on a players name and an option "Send Message" shows up. Idea #3 - Categories This idea has been brought up many times, but I never saw any comments from the developers. But if you could have different sections on your friends list like: Clan Members, Clan Trialists, etc. That way when scrimmaging, you can just go to the Clan Members section/category and tell everyone in it to come scrim, instead of having to filter through your friends list. This would also help with people changing their names too - you would be able to tell if they're in your clan or not. (Many times I find myself asking people why they're on my friends list, not remembering if they were a Clan Trialist or what...) Something that could improve this matter would be cool. Again, these things could be really hard to implement into the game, I still think it's worth the shot. ![]() Anyone have any other ideas that could better improve the friends list? Maybe it's fine the way it is, but I'm sure there are some ideas lurking in the hearts of the community... |

I do like the first idea, it is very annoying not knowing who half your friend list is.

First idea would take too many traffic/database space. They're already restricting the list to 128 friends because of it.

i still like my old one. and judging by the numerous +1's, i believe the community would love to have it too. Not sure if it just can't be implemented for some reason or something else.
but with your ideas, i would love to have the first one, and the third is pretty good. the second is not really needed, if they are on the forums, you can PM them there, otherwise you can just chat to them while they are online. |
