Default sub-forums for clans

Just wondering if sub-forums for clan types would be a god thing? Most of the Ball players don't care about TBD clans, TBD players don't care about Ball clans. The few 1DM clans out there have they threads lost in the middle of the myriad of Ball and TBD clans. Then there are clan threads that don't even specify what kind of clan they are, wich confuses things even more.

what do you all think?

And here I thought we were breaking away from this old mold.
Most "ball players" and "tbd players" have found teams in the opposite game mode and quite enjoy them.

On topic: I agree with FU. A sorting system would be great. (After FRO was accused being a ball clan for some reason, I think this is necessary at this point)

I also agree with this mainly because of some still active clan threads getting lost in with inactive clans.

That would be an awesome idea, from reading the title i had thought you meant individual sub forums for each clan though, haha

Sorting threads by clan type wouldn't fix that problem. That's mostly due to people bumping inactive threads.

Yeah, almost every {ball} is on a tbd clan now.

That was me. I thought beagle's reference to "balls" on the OP meant they were a ball clan as there were no specification of what mode they played.

Drive traffic down where? It's going to make the clan forums cleaner and easier to manage/navigate. If anything, I'd expect traffic to go up (not noticeably, if so).

People who visit the clan forums now would continue to visit the clan forums after this change, considering they most likely are still in a clan

I think the devs should try to improve their clan recognition because clans are the main core of Altitude. I'm not saying to cater for every little thing clans ask for but to try and improve that area of the game. Clans make up most of the active players in Altitude; all of the tournaments, leagues, scrimmages, etc. So we definitely could use some improvements like a Clan tag System or something. =D

I think this is a misconception. Adding clicks and separating content will cause less activity. And considering that if I don't look at the clan forum for a day all the newly updated threads are always still on the first page, I really don't see the need. Fair enough if there was actually like 20 tbd clans and 20 ball clans and 20 1dm clans (lol?)

Hmm...you do have a point, but I guess I just see it as people who need to read the clan forums will continue to do so, even if one additional click is added. I don't think we'll see a loss in overall clan activity, or anything else drastic like that, due to this change.

Although, this really won't affect me at all either way, seeing as I never navigate the forums anymore, but simply use the New Posts feature and click on pretty much every thread.
