a lot of times the offscreen arrow pointing to the bomb carrier changes color and i don't know whether or not the bomb is simply floating around, or if a teammate has picked it up. making the offscreen arrow turn grey if the bomb is dropped would be nice so i know whether or not to rush towards it.

Actually, lost bombs have a black/gray icon in single bomb maps. In multibomb maps they just fade overtime.
I think the reason for no grays in multibomb is to avoid confusing your bomb with the other teams and vice versa. It would be more annoying to rush to a bomb only to find it wasn't yours than that your team already has it. |

um. they do? on my screen lost bombs just default to the color of my own team, which is ambiguous as to whether they're picked up or not.

neveermind i now see that the outline of the icon is black but the color of the bomb itself stays the same.

Yeah, I notice it, but I definitely think the outline color change could be exaggerated more.

The outline already goes black, not sure how that could be exaggerated so much. I think it'd be useful to make the bomb itself gray as well, while it's floating?

that only covers center bomb maps, though. you'd need something for the maps with team bombs.
but yeah, changing the crap inside the circle itself seems like the way to go. |
