We need 2 EU bladders, speccing every time at 26/26 really sucks.
Not like it was easy before to make people get second ladder going.
Don't get me wrong, I like TBD too, but it's probably enough to have 1 empty TBD server (US).

it's not as simple as disabling one US server and throwing up an EU server, lol.

Nobody suggesting to disable US servers.
Point is, having only one ball server is stupid.
And it's pretty simple to turn unused TBD into ball, if we can't add one more server.

the euro tbd servers are used. the way you worded your post it seemed like you wanted us to remove one of the actually unused servers (ladder #2) and change it to EU.

From what I can tell, phong (who hosts both the US and the EU servers) pays more for his EU servers (or maybe it's because he uses the US servers for more than just altitude so he doesn't mind), so he prefers that we keep EU traffic to a minimum, whereas US traffic is not as important. Therefore, having two US servers for each mode is fine, whereas having two EU servers for each mode is not.

What about having two EU servers for one popular mode (ball), while using US servers for less popular one?
Because again, having only one ball server in a region is really detrimental to the game - people spec more than play at 26/26.

Phong has done a fantastic job securing us an EU server and you can't just ask him for more. He doesn't work for Nimbly, he does this off his own back, with relatively little thanks. If you want a second euro ladder, then I suggest that you get your own server and then turn it over to the ladder team.

You absolutely right.
I can get my own server, i'm just asking if we can use existing servers more efficiently.
(Note: sitting in one server 26/26 for hours while the second one is empty isn't the most efficient way).
Considering the servers are there to be used. For minimizing bandwidth TBD works perfectly, but then it's strange why not both servers are TBD.

Chill. Be happy with what we got newbie. (i assume yer new) TBD will make a comeback in EU eventually. We been waiting for EUBladder for so long tho no one wants to switch to TBD yet.

is it a dedicated server (as in you actually get your own super cute box) or a VPS?

It's VPS, but should be powerful enough and stable.
If it will work good, I don't really see a need to buy dedicated.
It's also located in Germany, which I think is a right place for EU ladder, ping-wise, for everyone.

Nobo is pretty much spot on with his post so if Kolobos is trustworthy enough and his vps stable I'd rather take down my EU server all together, otherwise one will have to do without some sort of monthly donation.

Additionally EU ladder will be down for about 30 minutes tonight for maintenance.

EU server IP has changed, you may need to update/refresh your list.

So after one week still no response from nobo, not sure what exactly does that mean.
VPS is still up and running, apparently unused.

EU EU EU EU EU Is this Hetzner.de!!? Germany is so awesome... tearsofjoy.jpg

I wonder if I will get single digit ping or not if we get this awesomeness but it all depends on the routing.

Eu ladder dead.

It kept on assigning 9 players to blue and 3 players to red. Then getting stuck in a stop start loop.

USA ladder still fine.

Will you use VPS that I gave you in PM almost a month ago?
I still think that a second EU ball server can be useful, especially if it will be more stable than the current one.

If not, and you won't give any reasons, then this thread is misleading.

I honestly don't give a flying f*ck about EU ladder but I'm hearing that euro servers were taken down.

Any reason for this?

My guess is the latest version of ball_skylands crashed the EU server. Dojo went down because of it. That's all krawz told me: why or how that map conflicted with the April 4th patch, I have no idea.

The reason USA didn't go down is it still has v1 of skylands on rotation and not the updated one.

I've seen EU TBD Ladder online twice a couple of months ago... I have yet to play it.

How is it that everyday lots of good players are in The Hideout but there's no TBD ladder going on here?
