Default voting stop tourney in 4 vs 4 situation a bannable offense?

If yes, i very much disagree because of the following two main reasons:
1. Team Balance is gone. Two random members of 1 team drop, logical response is that the other team lets the weakest players sit -> team balance gone and the remaining players on the team for this.
2. Although 5 vs 5 is still playable, 4 vs 4 is not. The team that has some fast randa's can win the game pure on speed, hence balance is gone as well.

If no, please unban me

Sorry but you can still be banned for that (i think).

What if they simply dc'd for a second? There is no need to stop the game. You just continue 4v4 until people come back. If players don't come back then they'll be banned. We don't really have good documentation if a game is stopped.

Incidentally, there are teams that have won 5v4 in proleague. 4v4 is not as good but is still reasonable if you have good people on your team. A fast randa is not op enough in 4v4 to easily get by your team if your team was able to stop them to begin with.

Edit: Checked out the ban. It says you voted stoptourney seconds before your team lost. That's unacceptable. If people dc right before the end of the match trying to avoid a loss by stopping it is wrong.

it's entirely situational

if you were spectating, you shouldn't be putting it on yourself to call a vote stop when you're not playing in the game - if there are enough spectators, the spectators + the losing team can easily all vote yes on the stop tournament, skewing the vote completely.

if you were playing, it depends on how late in the game the DC was. if one team is at 100% base health and the other is at 3%, obviously if one person on the losing side of it disconnects then the tourney shouldn't be stopped

etc

Sorry, I was not entirely clear. It was a ball game. So you move from 6 vs 6 to 4 vs 4.

The game started out as 5 vs 5 from the beginning. Then at a score of 5-4 another player on my team dissapeared and it was 4 vs 4.(so i was no specator). At that point I voted for stop tournament. (2 seconds after that the opposing team scored the winning goal, lol).

I am perfectly willing to sit out this 2 day ban, imposed to me by ingbo. I understand that rules are rules, but i wanted to have this sorted out anyway, because i felt i had to right at least vote about this situation.

If you voted after the game is over I'm confused why you were banned then. Regardless - if you wanted to vote stop tourney right at the beginning of the game when it was 5v5 that would have been more acceptable. Voting at the end of the game is pushing it even in 4v4 ball. I understand where you are coming from though.

I actually voted to stop the tourney right before the winning goal was scored.

But thanks for your time! I guess ill spend these 2 days reading a book or something, which - thinking about it- is not such a bad alternative

i thought the general rule was you don't vote stop if a goal has been scored

Nah, nothing.

Maybe that section needs to be fleshed out a bit.

Dont think so tbh... If you cant vote kick players I think it's pretty self explanatory you can't vote stop tournaments when you're losing either especially not at the instance of one player being free with the goal.

The general rule of thumb in ladder is everything is bannable. In fact, I will probably be banned for posting this.

i thought the reason we have vote custom stop was so that people could call that vote when they wanted to stop the tourney, and since it takes 80% to pass its okay since if it passes it is by a huge consensus.

Well, when 8 spectators are itching to play during a 20 minute match and four or five players are on the losing end of a game, it is rather easy to get an 80% majority.

Suggestion: disable spectator voting abilities during tournaments.

I've been wanting this for a very long time, but unfortunately this is one of those things that is actually just impossible to do as opposed to me being too lazy to.

I always found it weird that spectators could chip in on the votes anyway..
