Well, as I'm sure you know, the system isn't exactly a science. The problem is it often becomes an exercise in recalling pre-conceived ideas about certain players. Looking at the ballots, it doesn't look like much campaigning occurred, though.. at least not compared to last year. Anyway, hopefully people had fun with it.

Oh of course. I'm not foolish enough to assume that these are unbiased awards or anything of that nature. I just think it's interesting who some people picked.

Edit: for instance did kuja even rage that much this season? Furthermore - while sinstar is indeed an epic player - granting him best solo player seems silly as he mainly just destroys the enemy team with kills and doesn't push or defend. A better award would perhaps have been best whore

I have to say this is nonsense imo - it has been discussed b4. But i keep the opinion that most people didnt watch all players nor in many cases... all teams (reason why i didnt voted this time).
Anyway, congratz to the winners and to those who made the effort for making this as accurate as possible.

I took best solo player to mean something different than best individual player, was I wrong in that assesment? >_>

I thought it meant the player that did the most separately from basic team functions like pushing or defending, which would have obviously been peenstar

I guess I took it differently. I was thinking it was more like a UFO or an esoteric in the sense they can solo a wide variety of things such as pushing, defending, bomb running, etc.

I took best solo player as who could do the most without team support, such as defending a bomb 1v4 or solo running the bomb with consistent success or all kill the other team alone etc.

I voted sin for this reason as whether his team is near him or not he will kill planes, a lot. but then again like it was stated there could be many different interpretations to the category.

This is how I interpreted it as well. Of course, I wasn't sure that I wanted to include this category, because it is a bit vague.

That's why I said people often use preconceived ideas about players to fill in blanks on the ballot. There were actually very few ballots that had any blanks in them at all. That said, this whole thing is really just in the name of fun.

Raged Most was a trial category as well, Mike. I don't think Kuja really raged that much at all -- no more than anyone else, really.

if people voted as they just explained then it makes sense. Perhaps next season some clarification would be good. ^^
