Hide inactive players
I think it would be better, if ladder automatically hide player after 3 months of inactivity or add him to bottom of list with special mark instead of rating. Like N/A or something. Or special list of inactivities.
Currently there is big group of people, who 1.Have played 1-5 games. 2. Havent played long time. All those players mess with stats like having big amounts of dmg per round etc. Also i think, that real standings should be formed by real players, not players, who stop playing ladder/playing altitude long time ago. This will also help to understand, who is active top players to schedule USA vs World games every month(for example) Of course, if someone want his rating back, he just need to play once. There shouldnt be any penalty. |

I don't like the idea that my 240 games don't really count for sh*t just cause I haven;t played in a while. I think there needs to be a minimum number of games you play before you get ranked at all though.

I think this problem could be fixed by simply not ranking players (giving them a rating, but not a ranking) until they have played, say, 20 games. Their stats would not show up either until these 20 games (or perhaps even more for stats) had been completed, so we wouldn't have crazy stats like "(BAD) wedge99" holding the most kills/10min record.

1st one can be solved as you said. 2nd not. At first season of ladder 2nd or 3rd spot of tbd top10 was covered with sky, who got permabanned from ladder. I dont see reason for keep him at this list. |
