[oh] Servers / volunteering for Euro Ladder server

Hey all. I thought it might be time to make a topic here.

We are hosting the [oh] servers and I was talking to Twistedduck and he suggest I should make this topic, so here goes.

We got a dedicated server running Ubuntu 10.10, 64 bit.
It runs on a i5 2500k / 8 gb / ssd on a 100/100 fiber connection.

We're hosting all kinds of servers on this Minecraft / Altitude / CoD4 mainly though. Soon MW3 as well. And a website / forum.

Anyway Twistedduck suggested if we could host the Euro ladder servers. Seeing as the altitude community is apparently still looking for someone to host them. So yea, sure why not. Its just a bit of extra ram. Nobo was the guy who modded them or so i believe.

The servers we currently Host

Applies for all servers:
-350 ms max ping
-1000 KB/sec map upload max
-bots on HARD and they balance teams (usually 4)

These are edited maps with bases and bombs added into the map. Makes for interesting gameplay where you have to clear the goal first before being able to score

hi, twistedduck pointed me here to see if you guys were willing to host ladder servers in europe (thanks ahead of time!). just to check--if i were to use these servers, would i be allowed to ssh into the server myself and run a php script/edit the server config myself?

Well I think easiest would be if you just supplied the stuff and I installed it my self.

I'm assuming its just a script that connects with a MySQL user / database? And having Apache read from the database?

Seeing as I cba to set up permissions and everything on the server. Atm its just me a few close friends connecting to it.
