Hi can anyone help?,
I'm trying to setup a server for my team but am encountering problems. I set up the server on configurator and then went to launcher. Launcher doesn't tell me there is a problem, this is what shows up.... [05 Aug 2009 17:01:54,237] INFO: Loading ServerLauncher config: /Users/AJM/Altitude/servers/launcher_config.xml [05 Aug 2009 17:01:54,282] INFO: Loading ban list: /Users/AJM/Altitude/servers/ban_list.xml [05 Aug 2009 17:01:54,299] INFO: Resolving update server vapor.nimblygames.com [05 Aug 2009 17:01:54,864] INFO: Update server is 205.234.203.34:31383 [05 Aug 2009 17:01:54,865] INFO: Initializing update module on local UDP port 27275 [05 Aug 2009 17:01:55,298] INFO: Initial update check result: LOCAL_VERSION_IS_UP_TO_DATE [05 Aug 2009 17:01:55,422] INFO: Initializing '{BM}-Mothership' on UDP port 27276 [05 Aug 2009 17:01:55,426] INFO: Starting server on port 27276 [05 Aug 2009 17:01:55,683] INFO: Changing map: tbd_hills [05 Aug 2009 17:01:56,308] INFO: Starting 1 game servers [05 Aug 2009 17:01:56,308] INFO: Starting update poller [05 Aug 2009 17:01:56,317] INFO: [Data Transfer Since Launch] Outgoing: 0.000 GB, Incoming: 0.000 GB [05 Aug 2009 17:01:56,675] INFO: Update check result: LOCAL_VERSION_IS_UP_TO_DATE, free memory: 38.3 / 63.6 MB [05 Aug 2009 17:01:57,327] INFO: valid server hello response; remote IP is 212.183.134.130:29535 This is as far as it goes, when i go on to Altitude my server doesn't show in the list i think its unresponsive. You need to set up port forwarding on your router to allow incoming connections.
In this case you need to log in to your router and forward the server port (UDP 27276) to your machine's local IP Address. You may find the guides at http://portforward.com to be a useful reference. |

Find that router on the list, and click on it. The new page probably will not have Altitude in the game list. INSTEAD look at the paragraphs on top. The last paragraph should say something like "If you do not see the program you are forwarding ports for, be sure to visit our Default Guide for this router". Click on Default Guide, and follow the instructions. |
