I dunno if this is the correct forum. Please move if necessary.
Now, I have a excessively high ping, it hovers around 225-350, and it just ruins the experience for other players. My download speed is around 1.2 to 2 mbps. So, is there any way I can lower my ping or any particular server I should use? And the BlooMoon 1DM Server now decreased its max ping from 350 to 250 and I can't play my fav server for more than 30 secs. And all the other high ping server are always empty. ![]() ![]()

In which area do you reside? Have you tried any servers close to your location?

I am from India. So, I get better results on servers based in EU. But, I still have to face the occasional ping kick.
I also wanted to ask whether a high ping can make or break a career in competitive Altitude... |

You'll certainly raise some eyebrows if you decide to be a bomb runner xD
There is a player in KLF called TwistedDuck, he is from India but doesnt lag massively because he has a stable connection, stability is way more important. So no, there is no reasoning to say that you can't succeed in competitive play. |

I gotta point out that TwistedDuck has 2 different Internet connections. 1 for gaming and the other for browsing **** on the web.

ive had 250+ ping my whole altitude life, ive learnt to just go with it and man up
but seriously, having a high ping wont ruin your competitive altitude career, the only part of my "career" ruined is eu ladder. |

I guess I will just deal with it then. Plus, I think shooting round corners help a lot...

Just as a point of clarity: ping is mostly unrelated to how fast your connection is. Throughput (commonly called bandwidth) is how much data you can push/pull at a time. ping is how long it takes to get to the other end of the pipeline.
The further away the server, the worse your ping, unfortunately. Bin |
