1.How can I receive community points?
(another way than just send my personal link to my friends/gift the game to a friend)
2.Is there a max' amount of community points that can be gathered by the player?

1) by performing actions that are profitable to the community, such as contributing to community projects (eg. altitude wiki), spreading the word about this game by making youtube videos or writing articles that will be seen by many, helping around with ladder if you have coding skills, etc...
You can also buy the game a second time for yourself and email the devs both accounts and they will transfer CP to your original account, but I only suggest doing that if there's really nothing you can do to help the community/developers.

2) there is no such limit

I think he or she means to return, or lose the privilege, of a certain skin because he or she does not like it / wants another one instead.
