Default Ladder freaking out

Ladder was doing some weird things yesterday evening. Booted everyone on 2 occasions, and when everyone came back the tournament was off. A third time it booted everyone and the tournament remained on. We did finish that game.

Any idea what could be going on?

The ladder website has no record of that last game in the matchlist, and maybe even a couple before that. I'm listed as having a 5W streak (both on the website and with /rating), but on my matchlist I only see 3 of them before a loss. I do have the same score on the website and when using /rating in the server.

The win streak thing might be because of euro ladder. It records them at local time, so if you play on euro then us the us game is recorded before the euro one cause of the time difference. Dont know about the other problem. I told mike about it and he said he could try rebooting the server to see if that fixed it. Don't know if he was able to do that yet though.

Could you please specify which ladder (US/EU) you're experiencing issues with when reporting issues.

Thanks!

Sorry, I'm pretty sure it was US ladder.

It was APL1 mid game. When ladder US kicked everyone, startTournament was no longer running with the map on lobby (this could have been from an admin pushing it before I could get back into the server). For APL, our game was still at 3-3 with startTournament still running. We decided to kill the ball to restart the game.

US ladder just had this happen again. Everyone got back in tournament still going so we resumed with it to happen again moments later. Next time I just stopped tournament.

Yeah, this probably should try to be taken care of. I could possibly understand if this was happening with 40 people, but it is happening no matter what.

Today I got dropped out, twice, from the US ladder. For me it seemed like a ping kick (the ping at bottom corner went to 999) but the server gave the "J has left the game" message.

I have a perfectly fine connection but I just got randomly kicked from ladder and only ladder.

Talked with Yojimbo and he said that the same thing happens to him too. Connection works perfectly fine but he gets seldom kicks from US ladders.
He gets the leave message as well.

I can reconnect nearly instantly but Yojimbo needs to relog to get in.

Any ideas?

Happened tonight in US ladder#1.

Edit: Happened again 3 times within 10 minutes.

It's really random, sometimes tourney is'nt affected, sometimes it is =/

Usually after I get booted, it takes me forever to join the server I was in but I can join the other ladder servers instantly.

Usually happens when everyone gets booted. Now you know why we all restart alti when we get dropped.

restarting alti may not be necessary. i was doing that initially when this started happening, but then i realized that if i just wait and update the server list until the relevant ladder server reappears i can usually reconnect without restart.

I have noticed if I try to reconnect right away, restarting Alti is the only way to get back in within a minute. If I wait about 20 seconds before trying again, it will let me back in. Restarting Alti right away is the more consistent reconnect solution.

If you can please try to remember the exact time it happened (server wide boot) and post in here so I can see if there is any pattern.

It happened roughly 16 hours ago, and about 20 minutes afterwards again. Might've happened a third time but I'm not entirely sure it did.

thanks for working hard to get this resolved! (and for hosting it!)

Also, there was a crash right before this game: http://www.altitudeladder.com/match....6&mode=tbd_5v5

It was played Played Apr-30-13 23:13 which I believe means it's start time, and if that is true then I would say the crash was 23:11 or 23:12. It didn't take us long to get back into the server and start a new game.

On a side note I think I found the cause which should be fixed in a couple hours, so we'll see how it goes tonight.

Awesome!

Just curious, but do you think you can explain it in such a way that someone like me could understand? ^.^

it just happened again, at 2:46 pm pst. seemed to be down for longer this time, and the ladder website was also not loading for a bit, so maybe this was just a general connectivity problem?
