Hello. I'm a new face around here, so I'll introduce myself first. I'm benneyb123, (my previous in game name) or now called anordinarybrony. I'm having a lot of trouble setting up my server publicly. I went through protocol and followed all the directions, but it still doesn't seem to work. It keeps giving me the error message "Your server is running behind an improperly configured router/ firewall". I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm running on a mac with OS X lion. I disabled my firewall and went into my router and it's still giving me trouble. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When your port forwarding of a router and your ports allowed of a firewall isn't setup correctly, people outside your network can't ping your server correctly.
Check out the "Port Forwarding for Other Routers" of this link. You can completely ignore "Step One: Get a Static IP Address and Domain Name" as Altitude's software does that job for you (by telling the Altitude server list what your IP address is, even should it change). Does that help? |

That's not really helping me because that's for an airport extreme. I'm running on a cisco linksys.
