Also, you say that reverse takes up all your energy, and it does, but if you start charging before you reverse, you will reverse and charge at the same time. this makes it possible to go right into battle after reversing. This shot will probably not kill them, but i also notice that (correct me if im wrong) anchoring does take energy, but you can do it when you have no energy. all you need is enough cooldown time. so when that shot hits, anchor behind cover, and wait for energy before attacking. This also works well on enemies who are fleeing. Im not trying to go against you, i just have a lot of killing experience with reverse randa, and wanted to add some of my ideas. most of my battles are fought with no energy, you just have to balance what you use, and when.

I never said it wasn't possible to play this just that nobody has ever achieved this effectively. It's one thing to kill noobs in a public server - an entirely different thing to actually use it in competitive play. I am more talking about pro play style and top tier games when I am saying reverse is not viable. I have yet to see a reverse of any plane that plays at the top tier level other than a reverse explodet.

i think that this is helpfull, i like anchor.

i have a tip on explo that sometimes works. If i find the oppurtunity and they are open i like warping through the side of them and warping away before they have a chance to do anything.If they are damaged too it is very helpfull.

Thanks for the guide Mikesol! It's great and helpful for aspiring time anchor players (like me).

I definitely think that reverse time anchor has plenty of merit, but it will also be incredibly hard to truly master, so for now I think I'll learn how to stop crashing as regular time anchor

Still, I think almost all combinations of perks have their own strengths (except rubber hull ) and it all depends on your play style, so although turbo and flexi may not seem to fit, they can be used

is tank magpie? Magpie is pretty epic with his setup. No one else can come close to making that effective lol

i play reverse anchor with ball....it rapes. I'll admit i hardly use the reverse, but it's good for unstalling really quick. still worth giving up ultracap

I've partially updated the guide since the mods are checking through them. I'm going to try and write a ball part later on - so if you'd like to hold off making it a permanent guide you're welcome to (or I can just add that later).

oh and on the rev randa: w/ a laser its great defensive play such as a golie and when using rev thrust you can shoot backward and still be going foreword. Just throwin out ideas

Very thorough TA guide mikesol! I just re-read it today after getting frustrated trying to bomb run. I simply can't make use of rev with the bomb. And you're absolutely right about rev TA not being useful in competitive play- I think if you're going for a solo kill-all-the-enemies spree, its best to use trickster.

Which leaves me to play in Official #3! I actually just switched from flexi-wings to rubber hull. I liked the part about rolling/crashing on the ground- definitely useful in certain situations, and rubber hull makes it even more viable.

TBH i reckon juin has become a better rev ta than magpie. I think magpie has become inactive.
