ggs today everyone, a lot of close matches!
For next week's final could someone maybe talk to Vi about setting up the Lobsters cove (with default scale, 24 players etc.) as our match server because today's lag problems were just too much. It really detracted from the game, we need something more stable for the finals.

Uh unless people have gone traveling and not told me I see no reason to move the time up from this Sunday the 29th.

I dunno, I'm not going to dedicate a huge chunk of my weekend just to making sure that I watch the nerds that beat my team face off against the other nerds that beat my team for 5 hours straight. I'll probably record a couple games and then get bored and do something else. I definitely cannot be counted on to record the entire best of 14 (or best of 7 more likely ).

1. Stay together for over a month.
2. Participate in some of the preseason events and try to earn some respect.
3. Join Proleague #3
4. Don't scrub out in preliminaries.
5. Lose against FN, ACE, FLB, [||], L*, IL, or any other decent team.
6. Thanks for playing. Have a nice rape.

That was kinda unwarranted. These guys have done nothing wrong (besides being slightly annoying, but they're high schoolers, give them a break) and only want a taste of competitive altitude. Attitude like this from veteran players on the scene is stifling to the growth of competitive altitude.

To nigglebiggle, what you should do is keep an eye out on the forum for a post announcing the start of the league, and instructions on how to register will be in there. More importantly, you need to keep your clan together until that time comes (I don't doubt you, since you guys are a group of high school friends and not just random dudes who have never met, but the community has seen way too many clans who appear one day and disappear the next). In the meantime, practice a lot, because as Evan20000 hinted at, the competition is tough, and it is unlikely you will be able to beat any of the seasoned clans, but don't get discourage and keep it up.

Fair enough, but like you said many clans disband after a week or so, so I'm kind of jaded. I'll try to keep the "new clan with potential" attitude as best as I can, but all of these new clans that die in a week are making that very difficult. >.>

True. I have better hopes for these guys though since they're high school friends and are more likely to be able to stick together. Hopefully.

Kuja

What do you think of 2pm instead of 4pm ? Would be better for us, and many on my team just find 4pm kinda late.
Still on november 29th.

I'd caution you against taking this attitude Maybe if you can't be optimistic, indifferent would be a good place to start.

Like I said, it's hard to be optimistic or even indifferent when we've had so many failed clans.

Yeah I personally don't really care but some people on my team said that it was kinda late for them. Ask them, not me, maybe they have to do something later.

Anyway yeah. 2pm ET plx.

Would it be possible to change the password to the proleague server password just for tomorrow so everyone can join? Maybe change the name to proleague finals as well if you can.

That kind of defeats the point. The idea of using the cappie server is so that it won't fill up with nubs.

Yeah, I can probably do that. The server is located in Philadelphia so the pings for the foreigners is generally better than they get on the ProLeague Servers. Make sure to let me know if there are any maps missing, etc.

You think you can be this lucky again ?
Apparently it's the only way you can win matches ..

edit : also, don't be more than 10 minutes late. Or else.

How were we lucky? Your entire team was there you could have sent in any roster of players you wanted. ACE was at full capacity and they lost 4 times in a row.

Maimer thanks a lot for the server! It was much more stable than the proleague servers. I hope we'll be able to use it for the next bo7 on the 13th as well.

Really? I thought it was actually worse in terms of people having individual lag spikes. I guess on the regular servers the benefit is that when everyone gets kicked that it is affecting everyone. I will gladly set it up again, but I thought I saw quite a few lag bombs during the few games I saw on that server. I guess I will set it up again and then you guys can decide where you want to play.

Well Zidane had constant lag spikes and he was their main bomb runner so obv there were some lag bombs but he was lagging in both servers, his connection was just messed up. Other than him everyone's ping seemed stable. The server didn't crash and there weren't any big lagspikes aside from that one time on middleground but after you reset it there were no probs.
Much more stable than the proleague servers that's for sure.

It's not my server so I can't OFFICIALLY offer it, but I"m pretty sure Vi would be cool with you guys using the Lobstar Cove or one of the New England servers. they've always been stable for me, and they have the added benefit of being on the east coast, so euros ping slightly better to em. easy enough to set them up with the appropriate maps and whatnot.
