Default {aV0} vs. {ball} results

{ball} wins three games to zero (partial results), 6v6.

cave: 6-4 {ball}
snow: 6-2 {ball}
darkwar: 6-5 {ball}

I couldn't stay for all of the games, but I did play the first three (screenshots attached) and part of the fourth (we were up 2-0 on Mayhem2 when I left).

Playing for {ball} were: Cid Highwind, Anghell, Nikon, Syphun, tgleaf, blin ('n), and Tortilla.

Playing for {aV0} were: Skeleton, truepa!N, Dekaiden, Spark, Clapon, tmic, Apathy, and Wyclef.

I am sad to report that truepa!N will be resigning from Altitude. We'll miss you, bud!

Everyone played well (I was a bit rusty, tbh), but some standouts were: Cid Highwind with a >2.0 ratio on cave; Tortilla with 3 goals (hat trick!) on snow and 2 goals and a >2.0 ratio on darkwar; and blin with 3 goal assists on darkwar and goals on every map -- working his magic.

Default This Weekend's TBD Matches

Just a reminder about this week's APL3 matches.

vs RIP @ 2 pm ET (7 pm GMT / 11 am PT)

vs BB @ 4 pm ET (9 pm GMT / 1 pm PT)

As usual, half of the team has not given a response so they're probably unaware of these matches. If you see a TBD team member in-game, please let them know. Thanks.

Wait, we had 5 and you only had 3 at our match time today... Whatever we're rescheduling anyway so it doesn't really matter

Why do people from bong's keep saying that we weren't there for the sunday match and they rescheduled? It's really annoying.

I wouldn't worry about it. We were nice enough to reschedule instead of taking the win (aka "Pulling a York").

If it happens again, be sure to take screenshots after 15 minutes have elapsed.

Default The end of an era

I know this post will come as quite a shock, but here goes:

I am officially stepping down as the leader of {ball}. As many of you know, my wife recently had a baby, and it has proven to be too much to continue my duties as your faithful captain.

Long live {ball} BUT... guava will now run the show. Sorry I didn't have a chance to PM you yet, guava, but I know you'll understand. You've always got my back.

Anyway, sorry for the bad news! Carry on, guys. Represent well and I'll always treasure the memories.

He had me going until the sky league part. The first part seemed plausible.

We should try to challenge a TDM or 1DM team for fun. I don't know how much anyone has played both of these but I think they are pretty fun and I have never played a real match with them.

1dm is awesome (e.g. New England Death Match). It's where I learned to improve my kills/ratios after our long-ago loss to ACE. 1dm is a very important training ground for BALL players.

Yeah, a match would be fun, but we're still trying to organize Sky League so I'm not sure it will be right away.

Default Sky League captains

Congratulations to CCN. He will be captaining Team Thunder in the Sky League. (As indicated on the ballstrategy site, drunkguava will be the captain of Team Lightning.)

this is sad, guys. as it's looking we will barely have one team for skyleague. Tgleaf, Nikon, Harmonica, and Arty have already told me that they are likely going to miss this entire league, but more disappointing than that is the lack of any response at all from a number of you.

Games will be scheduled around 1PM EST (6PM GMT) on Saturday (although I think we'll need to reschedule this weekend's). For now I am leaving the second team in the tourney, but im going to need to see more interest otherwise it's out.

Why?

I figured since I was also good at ladder, us joining forces would become unstoppable.
