Hooray we did it. Press release is imminent.

Tee Gleaf Earns His 2000th Clan-Thread Post as {ball}'s Coach

Tee Gleaf won the 2000th post of his incomparable clan's career on Thursday, November 21st. Yes, that is the story.

The {ball} legend got to his 2000th post against a coach, Ajuk999, who was 40 years from being born when Gleaf earned his first post. That was a mini-essay on correct tearoom etiquette, on Nov. 23, 2009, since edited to house the roster for {ball}’s thousands of members.

Gleaf was his typical unassuming self afterward. Standing on a platform near the south goal of {ball} Stadium, Gleaf seemed ill at ease as athletic director Harmonica and school president Nikon lavished effusive praise on him. When it was his turn to speak, Gleaf began his short address to the 104,147 fans by saying, "I know you all want to jump my bones."

That is the Gleaf way.

Gleaf's achievement, the latest milestone in a career that has accumulated a quarry of such, is beggared by sports comparisons. Forty-five seasons. Some 5355 games and 1,050 {ball}ers. All in the same clan, all with the same wife, all with the same mistress, and all in just two homes (Tee and Sue Gleaf upgraded to a ranch-style house in 1969 after squatting in an abandoned building for the 20 years prior).

You do not measure Gleaf's 2000th post against other sports achievements. You measure it against geology, events such as the formation of the Grand Canyon. His career, his story, is a tribute to consistency, integrity and longevity. In that respect Tee Gleaf has less in common with Brett Favre, the last iconic sports figure to hit on sexy biddies while married, than he does with the Mendenhall Glacier.

Last month {ball} won against ///tvo to give the 83-year-old coach his career defining Skyleague 2 Victory. After the game, offensive coordinator Drunk Guava, who is also the second illegitimate child of Gleaf's five, had a brief chat with his father’s mistress.

"Did they even come this week?" Guava asked, referring to his siblings, their spouses and his dad's 17 grandchildren.

"No," she replied. "Why?"

"I hate to tell you this," Guava said, "but it's kind of a big deal."

As he told her this, Drunk Guava choked up with tears and buried his head in her bosom.

That’s not the Gleaf way.

In fact, as {ball}, which had trailed 2 games to 0 early in the series, scored its 6th goal in 3 consecutive games to win 4-3, his dad shoved both hands deep into the pockets of his khaki pants, which is where he kept them all game.

"To see all those people sticking around after the game, it was very moving," said Gleaf. "But you know, I’ve gotta dip, my mistress is waiting."

That’s the Gleaf way.

AH was the backup for twisted it turns out, because we didnt have enough . We really need to get more activity in the ranks otherwise no one is going to want to schedule scrims with us!

After scrimming AH, they were kind enough to let us pick up a few people (mled, cloud, and xx2) to supplement me, nikon, sky, gustav, and awesome for a couple games.
Let's get it together, guys.

In honor of our upcoming bday, Sunaku* of the {arr} faith would like to scrim. Possible times: FRI/SAT/SUN 6-9pm GMT. Who's interested?

Don't ask me to convert the time... check your Altitude Time and convert as needed.

*Whenever I read this, it just makes so much sense:
Snacks ("sunaku" in Japanese, but usually with an English sign reading "Snack") are bars that are largely like private clubs--you buy a bottle from the bar at four or five times the going rate, then pay a seating charge every time you go. In this particular place, the service charge includes young women to pour for you, flatter you, and be pawed by your friends.

Default {ball} tryouts

I'd like everyone to observe B.A.M.F. (aka g0g) and newbieMcGee and give me feedback (by PM is fine). They are both acid loopies and I think it's time to find a protégé. I also asked Polio to join and he's considering it.

While I appreciate your random google detective efforts, I'd like to bring your attention to the facts that it is NOT what it means, you're completely wrong and no u.

On the other hand, I know secrets about you. Looking for "bushings for rear" ? "Bushings needed to put on your rear lift" ? Interesting metaphors you got there.
I mean, wow, can a dating site be more obvious ?

Yes me, but on sunday only at 9.

Little show up sucks. I guess thats due to people not checking the forum too often. Maybe we should choose to do only scrims on the spot, if this occurs another time. I would also suggest if a scrim is set, to post it in a bold and colourful way.

Or maybe we just need SL3 to start really soon, so we can pump up the moral and spirit and recapture what is ours.

Believe me, we've tried. Guava has even gone so far as to send multiple PMs to people before scrims. Nothing has really increased the number of players. Sometimes, in-game chatting can be better than the forums because then at least you know you have someone's attention.

It's been a constant struggle to try and figure out how big {ball} should be. We've had as many as 35 members before we cut some, but even then we weren't always able to field six for a scrim! I think we're going to be adding a few (2-4) players in the coming weeks just so we can be sure we have enough active members.

And yeah, impromptu scrims are great. Seeing 8-9 people online and having another team gather their players is a surefire way of a successful 6v6.

this usually works, but i rarely have the time or patience to do it. Last time I did it was skyleague2, and while it worked wonders for the finals, it barely brought us 5-8 for the rest of the tourney.

I agree that in-game chat is the way to go for regular scrims. If you see a post about a scrim, bug all your {ball}er friends about it in game. It's on everyone, not just the captains, to ensure that we're on top of things.

I will also try to make scrim posts much more colorful in the future, beefy . Keep an eye out for the Domino's sponsorship...

next post is to screw with Fu. delete it if it counts as spam or w/e, sry.

What can I say? Life is good. I am honored, guava. Truly honored.

For you, my friend ("son" sounds so contrived): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxAKFlpdcfc

THIS is my favorite thing to grace the forums in quite some time:
