Thank you for this writing this guide. Its made of awesome.
At the time a ball is grabbed, the game could spawn an invisible dummy ball moving in the same direction and momentum to check if that shot would have scored. If the invisible ball scores within 2s, it counts as a save to the interceptor. I really like this idea for a ball award. Though Long Shots are cool when they land, this shouldn't be encouraged as it is generally a poor strategy (as the guide points out). This encourages a no passing game. I also disagree with this. |

This guide was written two years ago, when BALL was pretty new. A good deal of it still rings true, but it was created well before BALL was a developed mode with regular tournaments, ladder, etc., and before quite a few patches were added to nerf/buff certain planes.
For example, when this was first posted, loopies flew the fastest and had the fastest passes/shots and therefore dominated BALL matches. I'd like to revise it, but I have to find the time first and Goose has me on a strict schedule of watching Breaking Bad episodes until I can't sit up any longer.
