Hi everyone, I just wanted to know -- what are the requirements a team has to have to enter Proleague? My team (LRF) is interested in taking part! Ok if we can't just don't get mad at me...

to demuyt the PL started you cant join anymore.
to everyone: the servers from the APL are crashing and lagging and lagging. we just had amazing lag and kewl teleports at the APL server (||) vs JC.

Yeah, that was our bad. My guys told me they couldn't play today a little late, so only one guy could show. Any chance you want to reschedule?

First it's forfeit and second this doesn't really count. If the teams don't show up for scheduled times or do not reschedule prior to the time it counts as a forfeit.

For those who don't know, APL has a website. This is the link to the rules, it should be mandatory that at least the captains of the teams read them http://www.altitudeproleague.com/?page_id=8

storm - thanks for the link, didn't know about the site. Are you admin there as well? if yes - can you please correct the color of "Death Weeds" in the APL Sky Rankings section - the word "weeds" is written black and can't be seen on a black background.

Thus, with IB was Forfeit? They did not show up at the right time, they did not ask to reschedule the match and so on. We play 2 vs 2 becouse was "embarrassing" (Also 2 vs 2 is not so funny) ... also as you say: this match dosen't really count, but for us is the first time in APL3, thus, everything happen is important for us (##). Dead(IB) u should wake-up early in the morning ... and then do not miss the time again (lol).

Well you can count it in your hearts. The next weeks matches however do count so anyone that doesn't have at least 4 to play will get a forfeit. Also if the other team has 4 you are free to choose if you want to play 5v4 or 4v4.

Also if you forfeit too many games your team will be removed from the league.

Btw, has anyone ever come up with a decent explanation for this rule? It's always seemed completely insane to me to automatically disqualify a team that wants to play 3v5. They're already playing at a HUUUGE disadvantage, what could it hurt to let them play?

And if both teams show up with less people then it makes even more sense. Better to have a goofy 3v3 than a double forfeit.

I don't know, I guess just so the other team doesn't feel forced to play, 4v5 is almost impossible to win, 3v5 i don't see any team pulling that off.

Lets do you have a forfeit function so you have the right to play the matcha and let it count but you also have the right to forfeit.

As was mentioned, it forces a team to play a silly game when the other team didn't bother to show. I don't think there's anything wrong with playing that game if both teams agree, but if the qualifying team opposes it, it should be a forfeit.

The other problem is that when the rules state that a team must field 5 players for a 5v5 match and one team shows up with 3 or 4, the question always arises about how long to wait for more members to show up. I'm not sure if that's specified in the rules, but disallowing 5v4 makes it so if you aren't all there at match time (or say 10 minutes later, or whatever the cut off is), it's a forfeit. The alternative is having everyone sit around with nothing to do waiting for that 5th member to get there. In other words, reward teams that are organized and bother to show. Punish teams that don't.
