About steam accounts.

I uninstalled steam and the steam Altitude version. Then downloaded the game from the website, but i cannot log in directly without the steam client. I hate using to steam to run altitude. Is it possible to run Altitude without using steam (bought during $2 sale)?

In short no. If you bought the game from Steam you must play from Steam.


Depending on when you purchased from Steam you may have created an Altitude account. If you have an Altitude account you can play from the version downloaded from the web using that Altitude account.
