I read the 12 rules of Ladder on the first post of this thread.

Is it also a rule that if you're playing a certain plane and not doing all that well and your team feels you must switch planes because you haven't contributed much and you refuse to do so is worthy of a ban?

For example, I play randa most of the time (ball) and I sometimes end up with many goals (mvp) sometimes hardly any. Based on this alone if I'm asked to switch (I can go loopy/sniplane or whale but not bomber cuz i totally suck at it) to say Bomber and I refuse is that worthy of a ban?

In essence other than for team composition (say 2 great randas in team already) can they ask you to switch planes?

I've not yet joined ladder but I plan to once I get respectable pings again but from reading this thread a bit it seems there are far more rules than those just listed, at least that's the impression I get...

Scoring goals isn't the only way to judge performance. Basically the people in game will know if you're underperfoming. Also a note for randa play. There's 2 ways to play, either have godlike scoring abilities and feel free to warp and D all the time without shooting or as most randas should balance between running with the ball and killing priority targets.
And yes people have been banned for not doing what the teams want them to do. This mostly happens if you're playing a stupid plane setup (dumb bombs/flex/reverse comes to mind) or severely underperforming in your plane and are refusing to switch

EDIT: as far as the far more rules
Use your best judgement on the situation at hand and do your best to win. Basically anything that admins feel is bringing the games down (well aside from noobs) can warrant a ban

Those really are all the rules there are. Rules 1-9 are pretty damn clear cut, rule 10 is hardly ever used, and rule 11 doesn't exist anymore. If you're getting this impression simply by the length of this thread (and the complaints in it), really, the issue is that for a large number of people, rules 1-9 actually ARE difficult to follow for some reason.

The only ambiguous point is rule 12, which I interpret as basically don't be an idiot, which from your posts it seems like you are not. Being an idiot doesn't include "refusing to change your plane when one member of your team requests you to", but it does include "refusing to change your plane when your entire team requests to you, citing that you are 1-15 in ratio, have zero bomb hits/goals, AND your chosen plane happens to be reverse rubber bomber".

Generally, if you're trying your hardest to play in a competitive manner, you won't get rule 12'ed.

Please do familiarize yourself with the list of admins, however. Other admins may have different interpretations of rule 12, so if an admin officially warns you to do stop doing something, you should probably stop.

Wolf pm an admin please to get it sorted out. You had the bomb the entire way to our base from the other side of the map and then bombed (whilst we said teams the entire way. The last hit was a man down to. I have pm'd an admin with screenshot.

As I was there, I can safely say that the " 5v4" bomb hit happened after the disc right as wolf had bomb on their base area.

I don't even see a rule against 5v4 bombing but I guess its an implicit one? Whatev.

The last hit? I was running it, if I did it a man up it was accidental, and certainly not a man down before i started my base to base dash (I ran for it rather than dodged for it)

Blowing it way out or proportion, hopefully things look different in your perspective later.

I think its hilarious how you wanted to stop after we are the ones who got glitched round the back and screwed, from being up 100 vs 55 to 64 v 55.

The game, lasted a handful of minutes, with it going down to 3v2 at one point. The fact that the teams weren't even at all points, with so many discs in such a little time is pretty understandable.

edit: On a personal note these complaints have disgusted me. A new player who did something (very) wrong but was sorry getting spammed with perma calls? A long time player trying to get people banned on the slimmest of things to I guess, salve his ego? Eurgh.

He isn't new. he has been around for a long time he is just not very *famous* in the alti community because he's not really good or anything.

Why is it that a ladder admin can write such stupid nonsense on a Ladder server? He did not mark it as a joke so he wanted me to believe what he wrote just to provoke / harass me or whatever. Is that appropriate behaviour for an admin that should be there just to avoid such things? He is just playing the gutless "I am admin and gonna scare you"-card. He is abusing his role as an admin IMO.

And look at Dragon, he just joined and started insulting on me. I didn't even talk to him before.

for a scrim. The whole server told him he couldn't leave, yet he did.
not my business but i felt like typing this stuff out since i was there.

Here is what exactly happened yesterday and why I told him the "things" you mention. I was about to stay. Fluffy told me I was not late. But when sunshineduck told he would permaban the whole clan, I changed my mind. I'm tired of this childish behaviour and stupid ego thinking he's a kind of master just because of his small power as an admin. This guy can't speak without insulting. A lot of ppl is complaining about him during ladder games. That's why I reacted as I did yesterday.

I COMPLETELY agree with jrathe. Your lucky it wasn't a one month ban or even a week. Don't try to sit here and act innocent when you clearly didn't care about ruining someone's ladder game. You got what you deserve. And the rampage by duck in official 1 was just the icing on the cake.

I have an idea. Lets change the password of the ladder servers and hide the new password inside the rule list. This way you have to at least skim over the rules to find the new password. I'm not sure why "don't leave mid-game" is so hard, but this would at least thin down the people who are too stupid or perhaps lazy to read the rules.
