When the hell was this? I left yesterday after playing a few games and haven't played since.

Some answers would be appreciated. I mean, I get that you all hate me because I drag your collective rankings down, but still...

I don't remember doing that. Do you have any record of me doing this? Because I remember finishing a game (possibly Bowserscastle) and then logging off for the night.

In any case, since accidentally leaving the game when it's just started can be easily amending by custom-stopping and restarting, I have to ask why I've been banned for 45 days. Seems somewhat excessive to me.

it quite probably wasn't intentional, but it happened all the same. i don't remember the exact game in question considering the sheer amount of ladder i play, but i don't arbitrarily ban people and i do recall being pretty tweeked when we had to restart the game. yes it is a problem easily fixed, but that doesn't mean it isn't in direct violation of the rules.

if the ladder admin records are correct, then i feel that this is an appropriate ban length according to your history. i am willing to reduce it, but i do need to speak to one of the other ladder admins before i take any action.

either way, the absolute minimum ban for this offense would have been around 2 weeks. i'll get back to you as soon as this is cleared up.

after double-checking, it appears that the ban was pretty lengthy for the offense, so whenever my internet decides to work properly again i'll reduce it to 14 days.

Just wanted to check. Standard length for a first time ban for spec'ing a couple of times and then coming back is 4 days? Or is it however long the admin wants it to be? Always thought it was 2 days.

It's however long the admin wants it to be. There's no particular guideline about it-- we try to be relatively generous for first time bans, but strong enough to send a clear message (the leaver might not even log back in until two days later, making many one-day or two-day bans useless).

about 2 weeks ago i was banned by ssd for leaving mid game. but i had tried coming back to that game only to realize i had already been given the ban. before i had gotten kicked from the game cause my screen had froze ssd was smurfin in which i was arguin with the smurf not realizing it was ssd at the time. In the game i had got kicked from my screen freezing i made a comment sayin "its just a game" in which ssd than started playin rev biplane sayin " its just a game right pein." even though i did leave the game in which i could not control i believe getting a 45 day ban for something that was not much in my control is unfair. i ask that it either be reduced or dropped bc i always come back to the games that i get kicked from.

either way, that's your 5th offense for leaving mid-game, so i'd hardly say it "never happens". you were banned after the game ended, not in the middle of it, so the fact that you tried to return after the game had already ended doesn't really help your cause. the actual game in question was (i believe) on grotto where three people including you got rather lengthy bans by pieface and myself. these were bans we both agreed to due to the circumstances of the game, and i am not going to be reducing this. you've had plenty of chances.

pro tip: calling me a giant nerd that needs to get out more typically doesn't exactly endear you to me when i'm dealing with administrative matters

Backing SSD up on this one - in that particular game sky got several weeks and you got 45 days for leaving and never coming back. The fact that you were playing drunk and your friends turned off your computer doesn't really help your case.

I have a very serious complaint that I need to take up with the ladder administration.

Normally, I have no problem with any of you guys, or the way you run things, but something has come to my attention that is absolutely unacceptable, and forces me to question the very value of the ladder itself.

On the ladder page my flag shows up as American, but I am actually a Canadian. I consider this a grave defamation of character, and a personal assault on my reputation. I don't know what you guys have against me, but I refuse to stand idly by while anyone who might look me up on ladder would be so grossly misled about my citizenship.

I hope this issue can be resolved swiftly, and I will be happy to forgive and forget. Regards.

I would like to formally apologize to the ladder players that were there. Less than 30 seconds into the game on fallout everyone's planes dropped and I was kicked from the server. I restarted Altitude a couple of times, but couldn't get past login screen. After screwing around with and resetting my router (or whatever the thing is called), I was able to log in just now, but Tosconi informs me the game has ended. This has happened before- I thought it was fairly rare and wouldn't happen again, but apparently that is not the case. There's not much I can do about it, since I can't whine to my parents about a router hiccup kicking me from a video game, but I'll try to stay away from ladder for a while and I'm willing to serve whatever ban is deemed necessary. Again, sorry.

That is true, i can remember a time when (during a ladder game) changed their name and an admin gave them a warning not to do that again. *
Note it was in ball ladder and the admin was mr.guava

Personally i am fine with changing your name ingame during tbd ladder becuase you can bake some popcorn by the time you spawn again...
