Why would you want Ajuk to eat concrete? I mean, I know concrete expands, darkens and hardens, but still....

There are two major schools of style regarding periods and quotation marks. The style you obviously subscribe to (and assumed was the only correct one) places the period inside the quotation marks regardless of context. Imo it should be:
"It's: "all of a sudden"." ("[..]sudden ?"." alternatively)
