Atmosphere came into random rotation today. The gameplay was very nice but the team oppisite mine played 4 whales, simply because its a good whale map. It was fun overall and we did have some great plays. There is an explo problem tho.

ball_factory and ball_cloudcity are ready for ladder play imo. I havent been around lately so I don't know the process, but I thought I'd let you guys know. Played on both quite a bit today and had a lot of fun.
the only thing about factory, imo is the bigass gear in the middle. I'm not convinced it's as good as it can be, but i think some (non-random) ladder play would bring up some good suggestions. I think funnelparking it might be cool, but I think people want to move away from those sorts of designs... |

Agree with shrode. Atmo is solely about which team can trick shot or break away the best. It loses the ball feel a lot of other maps have currently. It's a great map for having contests of who can make the best crazy wild shots but horrible in actual competitive play.

i'll throw it in the custom start function when i get time, but i don't know that it's immediately ready for the random rotation. the last time i played it i think there was the low wraparound, and the map just seemed way too huge. i don't think you've adjusted the length any, but i admittedly haven't played an entire 5v5 game on it yet so i'll reserve further judgement.

It is still the same length, but the bottom wraparound was moved. Map height was reduced by 300 pixels, and the terrain has been reformed many times.
There seems to be some performance issues regarding parralax (similar to underpark problems from yesteryear) ... working to fix right now. |

feel free to add tbd_cross (below) and tbd_maze (already in the server) to the rotation so we aren't ****ed into playing neutral bomb maps that take 20 minutes in a full server

I propose we move all neutrals out of random rotation and, if needed, replace with maps like cross, chess, tron, sanctum (if it's not already in), etc.
