I tryed to figure out some new conception of a map, and here you go)
Used some asteroids objects for space.
There r lot of defence on planets but ist easy to sneak through, a neutral bomb in the middle that appears rarely and you have to bomb from bottom))

Like the battlecruisers the only easy way to win 2planets is the swarm tactic, when you call people togeather, get 2-3 bombers and people with shields and walls and attack at the same time.

I really like 2planets because it has a ton of cool ideas. It's very weird how the base it upside down, but it works. I like the fast respawning, team only, health powerups on each base so you can still heal yourself. Lots of options for running the bomb (over their planet, under, through, etc). The tiny asteroids make for fun dogfighting because there is so much terrain to work with.

I dislike the long straight passageways into the planet core, makes for bland dogfighting when you really have no options but flying in a straight line.

But the whole feel of the map is very cool. Very epic, the graphics are excellent, I like it!

The deathstart concept seems nice, but very hard to deliver the bomb (not played yet). Just need to replace my loopy with a Rebel fighter.

Training area in the jungle, tryout the gunner feature and the battlements.
The gunner is the position with infinite missiles, you must lay on your back at the tower to shoot em rapidly. The battlements r positions(or windows) in your fort that have rapid shield and heal powerups for safe shooting. Be carefull with artillery batteries.

yea

u need to fix the glitches but i luv ur maps

glitches

deathstar- u can reverst thrust through walls and teleport to base with miranda occasionally
wargames- u can fly through the back and bomb the enemy by reverse thrusting through cracks

i has question
how do u make so gud maps without spending so much time?

Also on Deathstar, can you make the walls with collisions more obvious. I kept running into what I thought was the openings to space only to find out they were the walls. (And it seems that you can fly behind the turrets... Is that on purpose?)

Map with child paper draw style) I used a lot of paralax layers to make it look "old school 3d") Map was inspired by all these indie games with paper style. Hope you love it

You use flash? How does that work? How do you get the vector drawings into jpg/png that are used by altitude?

Flash Is very comfort to draw geometry and simple pictures, and has a gradient colors support, so I save pictures in png format right from flash to images folder of a map.
The only thing I dont like is that I have to resave some pictures many times till I get the right image size. (The trick is to save picture to the right resolution and avoid picture resizing in map editor cuz it lags the game, the picture must be already the right size in zoom 1X in editor and look smooth without pixels)
Flash engine allows me to save picture in any infinite size thats why its so good.
