Yeah, feel free to do so. You can probably add on to the tips sections that are already there.

I'm planning on doing a bit of reorganization once the major stuff's done - I'll consider writing the new main page in wiki syntax instead. It would take quicker, but HTML's more universally recognized so I'm still trying to decide which one to do.

From what I can see you had tgleaf add one sentence.

Shared bombs are also known as neutral bombs, and maps that have these are known as neutral maps.

It should require a bunch of work with HTML (or wiki pipe-syntax markup) and I'd appreciate the guidance since I'm not an expert at this stuff.
Thanks! Finals went well. I might be interested, but hopefully I'll have a job by then.

Anyway, it seems the plane stats weren't as perfect as I thought. I'm happy to keep working on that section as I'm still interested in it.

I made some changes which I've already posted about. Here's the link: http://altitudegame.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=34

wat

Read the TODO list ---> work on the pending assignments on the TODO list ---> do a good job ---> receive CP according to the amount of work you put into writing and adding stuff to the Wiki.

To found out how much you'll get, get to work

UPDATE - The first round of CP has been rewarded based on the contributions recorded in this thread. You can see the full list of contributions here. Let me know by PM if you have questions about the amount of CP you received.

We've got a lot done so far but there's still a fair amount to be finished before completion. Keep up the good work!

added 5 extensions pieface asked for. I assume some of you wanted them. Anyways you can check all the extensions that are installed:

http://nimblygames.com/wiki/index.ph...pecial:Version

He also requested the default look and feel be changed to vector. I'm not a big fan but it doesn't bother me.

Thanks Karl. The new extensions clean up a lot of the wiki interface + add features that will allow us to work on a better-looking main page. They also update the editing bar to make things a lot easier for newer editors.

Keep up the good work!

FU and I have done a lot of work on the new main page, which can be found here (for comparison, the old one is located here). Yes, we borrowed heavily from the minecraft wiki but we made some customizations as well to better suit it for altitude.

It's still a work in progress - let us know what you think!

Also recently completed were the Planes and Perks templates to go at the bottom of a bunch of related pages.

Hey, I just wrote a description for the ball powerup, hopefully it's acceptable. The wiki already includes a picture.
http://nimblygames.com/wiki/index.ph...Power_Ups#Ball

Nick: (BAD)bitabur
ID: f02ccc04-982b-4d07-b683-cbbff0c91364

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ball is generally unique to the BALL game mode, and is the only powerup of which there is only one at a time in the game. Unlike other powerups, the ball gives a player no additional combative capabilities. In fact, a plane that is carrying the ball loses speed, climbing, and turning ability while carrying the ball. Faster travel with the ball can be accomplished by passing between teammates or dribbling the ball by passing or bouncing it back to yourself. Players can score points in BALL mode by either flying into the enemy goal while carrying the ball, or shooting the ball into the enemy's goal. The enemy goal is marked with a goal indicator while a player is carrying the ball. The ball can be blocked by opponents who are not carrying a powerup, or by walls placed in its path. Unlike the missile or bomb, the ball will not pass through friendly walls. Unlike the bomb, the ball is always neutral, meaning that players from either team can catch, carry, and score with the ball. Players cannot, however, score on their own goal. When the ball is picked up, the player carrying the ball will be marked on all other players screens with a tracking icon. Like the bomb, the tracking icon indicates direction to the ball with its poistion on screen, and distance to the ball by its size. This tracking indicator means that the ball is usually the center of the action in BALL mode, and a player carrying the ball is typically the primary target of enemy players. A loose ball will also be marked with a tracking icon. If a loose ball is not picked up within a short time, it will be lost, and reset to a neutral starting position. After a team scores, the ball is reset near the team that was scored upon, giving them first possession of the ball before the next goal.
Thanks for the help! I added it to the page and your info to the contribution list (note that writing in green is contributions since the first round of CP was doled out). If you plan to contribute more, PM me and I'll create you a wiki account if you don't already have one.
I added you to the contributions list. Here's the info you wanted:
a "spawn wave" occurs every 5 seconds
when a player dies, he is scheduled to spawn in the wave after next for his team (e.g. if the next wave is 1 second away, the player who just died will spawn in 1+5 = 6 seconds, if the next wave will occur in 3 seconds, he will spawn in 3+5 = 8 seconds, etc)
if teams are uneven, the team with less players has their wave time (normally 5 seconds) reduced by the factor 2*team1_player_count/(team1_player_count+team2_player_count)
for example, if team 1 has 3 players, and team 2 has 4 players, team 1's spawn waves will occur every 5*2*3/(3+4) = 4.3 seconds (team 2's spawn waves will remain at 5 seconds)
Huh, I never knew that about tbd spawn timers.
What's the reasoning behind the wave system as opposed to a fixed spawn point of ~7 seconds?
Reminds me of the spawn system from Day of Defeat (WWII HalfLife mod)
I'm guessing the reasoning is that it makes it harder for the opposing team to camp/whore your spawn location. It's easier to pick ppl off one by one than it is to face a group of 3-4 (or more) that spawns at the exact same instant.
It encourages/forces you to stick with your team.
It was TF2 inspired. A fellow heavy and myself (medic) kept spawning together, we found in one another a bond, that exists only in combat, among brothers.
Who are these people who i never heard of?
Like are they aloud to edit a game's wiki when they have no experienced knowledge?
EDIT: im not trying to be rude or egotistical but i just dont want the wrong info or "bad" tips being picked up by others
