Ok cool, i understand what your saying and thanks for being constructive
 On a personal note, klf are in it for the practice, i would rather a sucessful tourney than a guarantee'd KLF win tbh. AI V Akk is a tough match to call, if anything i hope fLb play week 2 because i can tell you we are pumped for that! I know the system as it stands alone is flawed, it would work if a season had been played already and were seeded from that, but looking at this particular set of results i aimed to create the most competitive pwned! event yet, and this can work in this situation, im sure of it. However ive kinda said all i can say so i want to hear from the other captains / tourney players before anything else, hope thats ok?

It's already been said, but you have to either decide to consider this week as a separate tourney or take both weeks as a whole. If you mix and match there's the possibility that a team will never lose a game in both weeks of play, yet still not make it to the finals. You say the top teams need to work hard to maintain their places but really in this system that's not true - no matter how hard you work or how well you do, there's always the chance that you'll be pushed aside by a team that gained the upper hand in point distribution just because they forgot to show the previous week. You say this will make it more competitive but really it makes the lower-ranked teams from week one have to play even less competitively to come out on top in the tourney. This should not be the case.

How about if we disregard week 1's bracket and run with the seed system and round robin format with qq gaining + 12 points for winning week 1 and klf gaining 5.
That way if qq win 7 games they end up with 19 pts, klf - 19, fLb - 21, and so on.... Last edited by classicallad; 08-02-2011 at 04:23 AM.

I like the idea that teams are rewarded for winning against the odds, but it has to implemented in a way that doesn't gank the high ranked teams. Maybe if people getting thinking now, we can find a way of implementing a variant in a later pwned.
