"The format for starting a ladder game is as follows:" sounds better IMO. Also maybe include the website URL in there somewhere, some people ask this .

Just a note--you probably shouldn't put things like the map pool in there. The map pool changes all the time and we wouldn't want the lobby picture to be instantly outdated. Things like ladder website url, ladder rules, and maybe ladder forum link are good things to put.

Nip's space one is sick, though I'd suggest making the Ladder and TBD 5v5 fonts more...spacey...like almost similar to the rest of the text. Obviously you want it to stand out more than the instructions, but ya know what i mean, right? xD

Nice lobbies guys. What are peoples thoughts on being able to spawn and fly around? I was thinking of perhaps making one with the rules as a collidable object so they could still be read, but the rest of the area as a free fly zone.

i dont think background should be dark... gets really depressing to look at for hours. another thing which i think is important to mention is that nips background goes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more in line with the general feel of the game in general graphic wise, what the main lobby looks like these days, the cartoony feel of the game etc. i feel like the other backgrounds are more suitable for games that have high graphic ie u got my vote nipnips (the first one).

I thought about being able to spawn too, but imo would lead to people joining just to fly around and then spec as the vote is cast. Pressing F should remain as just saying 'I want to play'

They could do that, but idk if they want that. With Thorn's setup, you could easily divide the rules and make that whole mystic area for flying around.

I really like nip's lobby - new and slick, but in line with the feel of the game.

One small correction though: the rankings, rules, etc. are at altitudeladder.com, not altitudegame.com

I feel like the text isn't the easiest thing in the world to read. You've got blue on blue and pink on pink in there.

All capitals isn't easy to read. I know it's a cartoonish graphics in this game doesn't mean the text should be difficult to read.

Also a dark background is easier to look at for longer periods. Bright just burns your eyes in.

I agree that maybe thorn can spruce it up a bit with some Altitude like elements, but his lobby is the most legible (readable) while still having slick graphics IMO.

I won't deny that Thorn's looks as cool as a 7/7 to the dome, but they don't have the cartoon feel of Altitude. Its like being in the Wild West riding an R-Wing instead of a horse. I have an idea, instead of just picking one persons set of bg's. You take one from 4 different people. So a ball background on ladder 3, and a different one on 4, same with tbd servers.
