Actually, in fantasy football everyone shares the same scoring formula except for kickers and defenses (for obvious reasons).

It doesn't on the surface I suppose, just that it would be weird to say "My team had -5 points this week and I won"

I guess we need to have a vote soon to figure out if we do want to use a formula or do the rotisserie style. I can set that up on Sunday and we'll close the vote Saturday. If we decide we'll try to do a formula, we'll take 3 formulas or so that appear to make sense and vote between them.

If rotisserie (which seems like a long shot, but would likely be the easiest to get moving), then we just need to pick a few statistics we think would be interesting.

Either way, we might want to establish a committee of a few (maybe 3-5) guys who can help get this thing established. I'm willing to try to lead this if I can get a few other guys to assist.

btdubs i dunno if this has been addressed but deaths shouldn't be a part of the formula simply because of the inaccuracy of the ladder page's death calculations with phantom deaths

It shouldn't matter too much, as there will be an average amount of goals per game (say 9) and an average game length, so it should get shared fairly evenly per player. Without deaths it's impossible to make a general formula that isn't dominated by loopies, as they are easily the best all-round plane.
